Yeah I was never a Mustang fan until the s550. Didn't even give them a second look. But this current version is pretty awesome. The 1978 Z28 had the 1978 Mustang whipped!![]()

Coming from EB, I was scared to take my gen3 coyote to redline, and first time I tried, I winced as I swear I was expecting the engine to blow a rod or something. My God does this thing rev!Secondly, I like the Coyote more than the LT1. I like how high it revs and how it encourages you to rev it out. I think the Coyote sounds better, too. I like how it wails at high rpms.
Third, this is my daily and I think a Mustang would be easier to live with on a daily basis and take on a long trips.
I am guessing that many people here are car nuts, not just mustang nuts. I have nothing against camaros/challengers. My take is, let's buy more so the companies will keep making new ones!this forum has been surprisingly well mannered about a topic like this. I would have expected a flame war with all kinds of posts getting nuked by admins and whatnot, but this has been very enlightening and entertaining.
that just isn't true..there isn't only one aftermarket shifter for the camaro. There is only one aftermarket shifter for the Camaro
One of my friends is pretty much FBO for the LT1, ported MSD intake, LTs, full exhaust, CAI and tuned on E. its about 3-4 cars faster than my E tuned GT.
Even the camaro guys like my base interior better.
The camaro does a couple of things really well for a price that most arent willing to pay in terms of harsh ride, uncomfortable interior and low visibility. The mustang does alot of things good while sacrificing things that are easily fixed in the aftermarket. That is why i think that the mustang has been dominating the camaro in sales since the 6g camaro came out.
Lol. Me too every time it goes to 7500 rpms in drag mode on shifts. Most push rod motors are on limited time with valve lift and cam specs to rev that high. Unless it is a billet/nascar style motor.Coming from EB, I was scared to take my gen3 coyote to redline, and first time I tried, I winced as I swear I was expecting the engine to blow a rod or something. It wasn't just Ford. 1974 was a really depressing year for cars, and there were still more to come. They hadn't put cats on cars yet and EFI was a dozen years off. We all thought it was the end of the world. CATS? No, I'm not nuts. Those things and EFI saved cars. Don't ever forget it.![]()
Should have used this one for comparison..... 1974 with similar paint scheme ..... WTF WAS FORD DOING TO US BACK THEN!
I had a pretty mint and original 67 camaro 327 powerglide with 33k original miles given to me as a Xmas gift back in 1988. Red on red with factory A/C. Give my left nut to have that one back...I didn't get a Camaro because good quality '67 convertibles are hard to find.
Kinda like this one If I could go to the dealer and buy one of these it would be a no-brainer.

Before I bought my bullitt, I drove the Camaro and Challenger extensively.Im torn between the 2020 Mustang GT and the 2020 Camaro SS both in A10 variants. And both seem to be very close in many aspects. I plan on asking this question on a camaro forum, but the other way around. But Im curious about those that shopped both seriously and chose the Mustang in the end. Lets not use the "visibility" argument though. I've driven both extensively and that isnt a problem in the camaro, at least not for me. What else prevented you from getting the camaro? Was it price, availability or was it options?? Lets have a real conversation without a flame war starting. Thanks.
