well, at the $700'ish price point Koni != good. Now if you have their >$4000 3-way adjustable kit on an full-on (IMSA) racecar the story is probably a tad different. For the price I'll take Penske or JRI every time.

A good spring if you want a bit less squat and not lower the car much is the steeda min drop springs. They lower the car about 1/2 inch and are linear 200 Lbs front and 800 Lbs rear. They pair well with the B6's.

The bilstein b6 shouldnt be out of stock? I just ordered mine from @LethalPerformance a few days ago and my shocks just got here. So i think they, and the ford performance track stuff should be available

So Ive been running my NX2 turbo modded ecoboost performance pack for a while now, slowly trying to get used to the extra power. Mostly its my driving thats needed to adjust but i think im starting to notice that grip or handling dynamics are a bit on edge now due to the extra power and torque. Im not sure exactly how much its making since ive not dynoed it but its at least 400HP.
Im on the 19 inch performance pack wheels with Pirelli P-Zero 255 R19 tyres. These do seem to be good tyres but the seem to need a lot of heat to get the best grip out of them, very slippy in the rain or cold days until you do a few launches.
Speaking of hard launches, another new issue is that the car squats back more heavily than it used to before on acceleration, this is causing my steering to go light and its quite tricky in corners or windy roads. If i stomp on the throttle pedal too hard the car breaks away easily, oversteer and also fishtailing. Its quite a handlful, I think a GT with the heavier engine in the front is a bit more planted compared to my car.

So i was thinking, maybe switching to a different tyre like a Michellin Pilot Sport 4S ( I think the HPP uses these ?)
I really dont want to change my factory performance pack black wheels (i think aftermarket look doesnt suit the car), but if the only solution is to go bigger than 255 then id be open to the option.

So thats my idea with the grip but can the light steering on hard acceleration be improved ? The only thing i can think of is making the suspension significantly stiffer and lower, but thats really going to affect normal driving. I kinda like the stock ride height, helps me get over speed bumps and stuff, the ride quality is good too. Has anybody experimented with other dampers or coilover springs on these cars ?

I don't think you'll get the most out of the NX2 on the 255 tires. Consider a wider set or just swapping the wheels out completely.

The stock PP wheels are nice, I had them, but they are also heavy as hell. If they're anything like the GT wheels they've got to be well over 60 pounds (w tire on) per corner. I've moved them around my garage. They are boat anchors. I got a set of RTR's in the same piano black finish but flow forged, so a huge weight saving per corner.

Combined w 275's all around it completely transformed the car's behavior punching it at low speeds.

Yeah they are indeed very heavy, but im guessing that helps them cope with bumps and potholes better ?
I was looking at some OZ Racing wheels which are very light, but i heard the buckle easily.

The extra wheel weight really doesn't help anything but budget. OZ's are generally very nice & light, but magnesium wheels are fragile. I have no idea what kind of roads you have, but it's a pretty good idea to stick to AL wheels on the street. You can get the wheels to less than 10kg each, which is pretty damned light and probably about the point where the cost starts to get prohibitive.

Theres an RTR supplier here so i can get them but im sure they will be expensive so will look at options too.

I have MRR wheels, which are ~12 kg, but relatively inexpensive. There are a couple good Japanese manufactures. I particularly like the look of Enkei wheels & they are lighter than mine. It's difficult to know what is realistically available to you.

The Bilstein B6 set of 4 cost is, converting to USD, almost 500USD more than a set of Koni orange STR.Ts

I have to import the B6s hence increases the cost, and on top of that the Bilsteins are not available until probably Jan. Personally i believe they are probably superior to the Koni's but are they 500USD better ? And are they worthwhile over stock ?

Ive been told the STR.Ts are basically the same as yellows but locked to the softest setting.

Bilstein b6 is/was available at summit racing recently, not sure if they still have them. I know @shogun32 said he has a rear pair but he wants to dyno them first, so that would just leave you needing the front.

From what I've seen, I would NOT go with the Koni. Are you able to get the ford performance track struts/shocks? they are about the same as the Bilstein b6 and a little cheaper, and should be in stock.

I remember you are in south Africa so my suggestions may not even be useful. I hope they help
