Just found out holding the downshift paddle in S on the shifter will put the car back in auto shifting mode without hitting the shifter. Aka gear light goes away in cluster.

I have never seen or read this anywhere.

Yep.. if you hold the right paddle shifter for 3 seconds in manual mode, it will go back to auto shifting. It's a feature most cars with paddle shifters have and one that very few people know about. Very cool.

Yep, found that a couple weeks go. Super nice to have that option. Now, I just wish if we held both paddles in, that it would go to neutral for when revving at a "friend".

Wow, nice to know!!
I typically use sport+ drive mode and have always thought sport shifter mode took you into manual if you used the paddles, no out except shift back to D. Interesting that Ford doesn't tell you this...

Must be a 10r80 feature as I’ve tried it with my fiance‘s 2015 with the 6r80 and it just downshifts or upshifts when released (depending on which paddle is held).

I looked at my manual too. It does say this knowing where to look. Don't know about all of you but I find Ford's manual is a mess. There's stuff in mine that seems to not even be about Mustangs. Makes it difficult to use frankly.

True. And that's before even going into translation issues. If you think your manual is bad, you should see one in a different language. You know the little drawer behind the steering wheel? My manual says it's a glass holder. :cwl:

Does that make the glovebox the 'hand holder'?

My Lotus does that but only because it has no transmission lever, just buttons for D P R etc

Surprisingly, they managed to get that right. :giggle:
The funny thing is, this error goes back many years. It appears in all of Ford's Romanian user manuals, including the one of my 2011 Mondeo. Imagine using that pop-down lid on the roof console as a cup holder... :giggle:

The wording if the oo question isn't correct.you need to hold down the right side paddle, not the downshift paddle
