Hey, posting here because I need help asap. Car (2020 PP2 only 500 miles) won't move in gear, neutral, ignition on or off. Thinking brakes are seized up.

Stuck in garage where a tow truck can't get to it. Going to disconnect battery to reboot car, hoping that solves it. I've set and reset the parking brake a number of times. Made sure line lock off eventhough I've never used it. What else can I try?

Automatic or manual? If you can jack up the rear, put in neutral and see if the drive side spins by hand. But with 500 miles, won't Ford pay to tow to the dealer for warranty?

IM sure this is not it. But not long ago I washed my car and while the rotors were wet i guess i set the parking brake. couple days later I went to go drive my car and it wouldn't move and it was in drive. The brakes somehow rusted? to the rotors. I finally gave it a good jolt of gas and the brakes popped loose with a loud pop and then the car rolled and worked fine. was really strange. hope you find out what is wrong and it is simple.
Had the same thing happen to mine once. Could even see the marks on the rotor where the pads had stuck.

Is there a way to tell if pads are just stuck, or calipers are actually making pressure on the pads? The first one is an issue you should be able to fix with a quick jolt in 1st or R gear. The second would be a real problem. Hope it's the former. Keep us posted.

Did you figure it out?
Wet rotors, plus sitting, gets the brakes sticky. Like really sticky. Happens to me often enough that I don't think about it. Bump it a couple times on the clutch (but not enough to hurt anything - don't hamfist it), and it should pop loose. The first time it happened to me I was quite worried as well.

Kind of makes the case to leave it in gear, no EM brake .

Happens to me every time I wash it. Only cure has been to drive it around the block once as soon as I'm done washing. One time it was so bad that I had to give it so much force that it cracked one of the passenger rear brake pads in half. Replaced the rear pads with ceramic but it still happens, just not as bad.

So instead of banging the drive train why not, not use the EM brake park at home ?

I wonder if you spray wheel cleaner, you know the stuff to remove brake dust when you wash the car, if that will help.

Tried rocking it with a couple guys pushing it. No luck. Will bump it in gear to
I wonder if the hill hold feature has locked up the brakes?
Good thought. It only sat for 3 days while getting ceramic coated. No visible surface rust on brakes.

If the car is a DD the problem will be a no problem for the most part. As mentioned after a wash, happens most times sound about right, drilled disk can cure it.

My car is a fun car so it does not go out every day. This is a good read, and will be changing the usage of the EM brake. Was not aware this could be a regular event, of the caliper EM brake design..

Be flying with the idea that the EM brake must be applied to start. Lemming thinking caused by a computer controlled drive train.

Clutch no brainer, safety for stupid, not being stupid. Sit in car step 1, check for natural step 2, pull pants, close your fly. same same.

What is with folks and spraying everything with some spray? LMAO

A dolly jack or a set of tire skates to move it to where the tow truck can get it.

That’s correct. Tow truck Companies carry them. It should be no problem for them. My car was stuck between two parked cars. I thought there was no way a tow truck can get the car out of there. To my disbelief, he pulled some tire skates, put them on the tires, and push the car sideways with his hands!
