SYNC 3.4 Build 20136 Question

My SYNC is on 3.4 and it says the build number is 20136, yet Ford says it needs an update.

I go through the loop again and guess what, Ford still says I need an update ... lol

I have updated the log files each time.

Any ideas ?

If it helps it’s a U.K. 2020 GT.

Turn off your auto update and relax. You’re up to date.

As far as I know, that's the latest build, so maybe your file wasn't uploaded successfully. Did it say that after you selected it? The Ford site should tell you it was. If not, just call Ford, and maybe they can manually update your profile for you. Good luck.

Lincolns web site, even though I have uploaded the .xml file, tells me I have an update.... it's broken

This is exactly what the Ford UK website has done to me (both times), it must be a glitch relating to my browser or something.

I did wonder if it was Fords way of pissing me off for turning off the car communications with them, perhaps they are also looking for some feedback from the car ?

Anyhow, I guess I will pick up from the forum the next time there is a real update that I need to do

What exactly changes when you update from SYNC 3.0?

If you have a 19’ you have Sync V3.2/3.3. Updating to 3.4 mainly gives you improved response and different graphics. It’s not a major change but still worthwhile.

Thank you, I understand. But unless its an official Ford update WD Pro wouldn't be getting in car notifications.

True. But just like the updates here in the states, not every vehicle model gets the updates at the same time. Will need to see if WD can determine what the update notification is. It could very well be an update for something else.

The update is when I register my chassis number on the Ford (U.K.) site.

It tells me I need an update - I download and update - I upload the log file - it tells me I need an update ...
