Guys I am in final negotiation on a 2020 GT Premium with everything I want. It is not the ideal time for me to get back into a Mustang (have to keep it outside...won't drive it much for about a year (not necessarily bad)) but I keep hearing you will not see deals on them the way you do now. I am weighing pros and cons. I can get 0% financing for 72 months and about 4K off MSRP. Is that true...do you rarely see that even at the end of model years-particularly the financing?

Appreciate the links-seems the deal they are offering me is in line with what others have been seeing lately...guess my question is do Mustangs at the end of model year usually see 0% financing deals or is this truly a crazy time with the COVID issues.

It is a crazy time to buy a car due to COVID19.

Prior to COVID, Ford was not running any 0% deals. I think the lowest APR prior to COVID was something like 2.9%.

Even at month end, Ford just does not do a 0% to make sales... if anything, most dealerships would be discounting the MSRP to move the vehicle a little faster to close a deal - but as far as finance rates, that was dependent on current APR for new vehicles and if the Buyer could qualify for that lowest rate.

If you belong to a Credit Union or can join one, you can get better financing APR than most banks without the haggle BS.

If you’re able to do a Mustang based on your current financial situation, yes, now is the time to get killer deals at the Ford Credit 0%/84mos (if applicant qualifies) AND the offers of 120 days of no payments required (dependent on XYZ Manufacturer dealer), as everyone seems to be running some sort of “extension” of payment to buying a new car.

I'm buying my car today. I went with conventional financing for the rebate instead of 0%.

Negotiations were difficult, but I ended up with about 15% off msrp on a GT (after all rebates and discounts). 4K sounds pretty good.

I am passing...just not right time for me yet. Will take this time to get my wife’s car paid off. Sheehy’s really didn’t want to deal at all.

In November 2018 I bought my 2018 GT new for $8k off MSRP (msrp of $49k). I didn't get 0% financing, but got a great deal on the price IMO, so I was happy. I believe the finance charges on my car will be around $2,500 +/- with a $15k down payment, so if you can get another $1.5k off the price, you'd match what I believe to be a pretty good deal that I got. You're not far off. Another $1k and you're practically there, with 0% financing.

If you're not paying much if anything down, then $4k with 0% financing is probably about equal to the deal that I got. Since I made a hefty down payment, my finance charges are lower than if I only put a small amount down.

I brought a charger a while back with 0% off and got about 8-9 off back then also. I say if you can manage 5k off is go for that and take the 0%. Typically financing will be over 3grand if not more depending on rate and if you put anything down so you’d be coming out ahead. My guy said you either take 0% or the rebates when I went today to just BS. I love the car but I plan on a re FI @ 2.49% which is a solid rate.

Ummm... I'm going to need you to come in this weekend. LOL

So, I bought a 2020 GT, magnetic, 6-speed, zero options. Zero, zip, nada. Msrp 37,222.

I had $3500 of rebates and around $3000 off discount, stupid dealer fees and "protection package" with tax (3% in NC), tags, for an out the door of just under $33,000.

How much the dealer fee and protection package?
