2016 GT - Original battery - Car unfortunately sits outside in the snow during the RI winters (I clean it off) and left the battery in (on accident) for 5 months. Started right up no issues

I used to keep mine in the trunk.
until my battery died, trunk.wouldn't open, and had to crawl in from the back seat to open it.

Mine sat from Friday night to Tuesday morning. When I headed out for work, all it did was "grunt". So, at a few days short of the fifth anniversary of the "in service date", it got a new Interstate 96R

Was away for 3 weeks, car was in a fairly warm garage ( 2019 GT). First thing I did was start it. The book is right- the remote wouldn't work but I touched the button and away we went. North Jersey, but warm winter. They said around 3 weeks or more and the remote might not work, They must know something.

Whats the longest you guys have gone without starting your car up? Reason I am asking is because as most of you know most universities across the U.S. have moved all in person classes to online instruction for the remainder of the school year because of corona virus . I flew back home for spring break four days ago to get an email the next morning (literally) saying school was cancelled until August which is the start of next semester. Now my precious car is sitting in another state and I am not flying back to bring it home until April 1. Last time i drove it was 1 mile on Feb 27. You guys think im going to need to jump start it or it should start fine. I have 91 in the tank not e85 just for clarification. Longest ive gone without not starting the car is a week, but never a little over a month.

(P.S. Ill be sure to post the cold start video of that 1 month catless + supercharged + roush axle back and res delete cold start. It is going to wake the dead :cwl:)
Well first off, you should be worried about whether or not your will still be there because your cars a V6 and the University you go to in Arizona has a known thing of stolen V6 mustang in University parking lots so I think thats what you should be worried about the most. If it is there though, that V6 cold start should sound pretty decent.. :-)

I let my car sit for a month and a half and It started knocking then locked up after I started it due to all of the oil draining back down into the pan and not enough film on the parts whenever I restarted it
Solution to that, or any car that's been sitting a long time. Both feet to the floor on the clutch and gas and then crank it over until you see oil pressure. Then it's fine to start it. But high quality synthetic oil should not do that, there should always be a sufficient film of lubricant. If it does there's something wrong with it.

Beat me to the post, I have one of those (not exact brand/model) in EVERY car I own. Cheap insurance and have used them several times on my car (not the Mustang) and ever more on folks that I saw in need.

2019 owners manual:
[for storage over 30 days:]

• Change the engine oil and filter prior to
storage because used engine oil
contains contaminates which may
cause engine damage.
• Start the engine every 15 days for a
minimum of 15 minutes. Run at fast idle
with the climate controls set to defrost
until the engine reaches normal
operating temperature.
• With your foot on the brake, shift
through all the gears while the engine
is running.
• We recommend that you change the
engine oil before

Just got my battery warning.its called deep sleep and I haven't started it in 2 weeks.from manual
"Your system is designed to protect your vehicle from draining its battery when the vehicle is parked for an extended period of time. In order to preserve your vehicle's battery the Remote Access system will go into a "sleep" mode. Your Remote Access"
Used my Ford pass app and tire pressure wasn't working.unistalled/installed ford pass and it worked.also fird manual says to remote start your car to reset remote.

Not sure about earlier S550's but my '18 goes into deep sleep after about a week or two which shuts down everything but the clock and remote sensors.
