Please be really careful about comparing anyone other than those who are pro Trump as being Nazi's. That's a line that no one on here should cross. Especially when discussing this topic from someone on the other side of the pond. Everyone has his or her opinions regarding our American politics. This is truths and untruths coming out of both side daily. But neither side is or will ever be responsible for the death of over 10 million people.

That said Burkey, Hack's thoughts are a perfect example as to why we are all losing our shit. We do have a terrible problem. It is called the 1st amendment. It's OK to say whatever you want so long as it is nothing negative about Donald Trump. Do that and you are considered un-American. Now that's not the way every Trump supporter feels, of course, but it is the position of his highly vocal "base". This country is so polarized that free speech is only free when you take one side or the other. Everything the conservative right does is an approved by G-d and everything the liberal left does is an act of the devil. That's just the way it is now. I pray that it changes. By the way, full disclosure, I am neither a conservative republican or liberal democrat. I look at what both sides have to say and make up my own mind.

Funny, I see it the opposite way. If only people would stop and think about what they are saying and realize that person is someone's husband or father or mother or son.

And people need to also remember that social media. Including this forum, IS NOT REAL LIFE! With today’s tech you are constantly bombarded with media and opinions. I don’t believe anything has changed since the 60s when I was a child. Other than instead of getting negative sh!t stuffed in your face twice a day during the noon and six o’clock news. You now have a phone strapped to your hand. And your constantly subjected to it! You still have some people that hate people because of their color, religious beliefs and politics. I happen to believe there is still way more good people walking this Earth. And the people mentioned above are still a very small minority. But that small group of haters now has a constant voice. And that’s social media. The opinions you get on social media are almost always made for effect. The fact that you can say the ugliest things and not have to worry about being punched in the face. Almost guarantees that people will treat you poorly for the slightest difference of opinions. One thing my father thought me early on. Is to stay away from the topics of politics, religion and race in polite conversation. People need to put the phone down. Take a deep breath and chill. Despite what you hear on Fox News or CNN. The world is not coming apart at the seams. We had problems in 1944, 1984 and we’ll have problems in 2024. We’ll figure it out like we always have.

I find it terrifying, frankly. Lawlessness and public officials being able to spy on and jail people that they disagree with? NO repercussions for those people? And a large percentage of the US population thinking that it's ok? The US is right on the edge of becoming Venezuela or Hitler's Germany in my opinion.

When Hitler was running for office he didn't say he was going to kill Jews. He promised prosperity and government programs to help people.

The NAZIs were an organization who had a lot of control over the population to do what they wanted. Bernie wants the government to have a lot more power as well. And when the government can flaunt the law and get away with it, their enemies will suffer.

It has happened over and over again. Maybe Bernie would be a benevolent ruler, but history has shown that people always suffer under socialism. Only a fool would want to try it again to see what happens.

America is the greatest nation on earth. It doesn't need to be transformed into Venezuela or 1940s Germany.
