In fact, air suspension is very tempting to me for my convertible.
Air Suspension? How old are you? Just curious.

For cruising in a convertible on a nice sunny day with the top down . . . yeah, I can see how bags could fit into that experience quite nicely.

Those who have insisted on using bags for appearance shock value have managed to give air suspensions an image problem all by themselves.

There isn't anything inherently wrong with air suspension, it's basically just a different kind of "spring". Choose to run bags for the right reason - they're generally better suited to easy cruising than, say, autocrossing and road course track days - and you'd probably be very happy with them.

Leave the car at a normal to minimally lowered ride height and don't say anything about it and most people would never guess that's what your car has. Lay frame with all four wheels at crazy amounts of negative camber and all bets are off.

I wouldn't run bags myself, but I can understand where somebody else (age irrelevant) might choose to. I'm 72.

Nice car....but I noticed your RTR fender badge and side skirts. Technically, that is a "mod". Now go put your 5.0 badge back on and replace your pic. Lol. Yeah, the lugnuts also. Sorry, someone was going to eventually do it anyway......

Loud stereo? Yes! I will blast some classic 70’s Rock and Disco on you youngsters!

I'm 55 and we have very different tastes... And its a beautiful thing that we can enjoy our individual tastes and still enjoy the Mustang experience.
I bought a Shelby because of the exhaust... Within one week of ownership, I had the resonators removed to make it even louder.
We do enjoy some of the same music... Who doesn't like Carl Douglas?

The only thing surprising in this thread was the hate for tinted windows! I live in Florida and getting the windows tinted is the first thing you do to a car here, even a convertible.

My tastes and preferences really have not changed at all over the years. I hate big wings, wheels over 20 inches, exterior add-ons that do nothing, such as fake scoops and louvers, and painfully loud music.

I'm 62 and can't handle stanced cars or big wings if not tracked. Really obnoxious exhaust. Badging = false advertising. Here is 'stanced and my cars 'poke'.

I love the look of this car but at the same time this car is far from factory. this is a vehicle equipped with the RTR package which includes the side splitters, rear gurney flap on PP spoiler, rear and side splitters , chin splitter, and the hood heat extractors. cannot tell if this one has the grilles or not in the pictures but this car has a lot of aftermarket stuff that was installed by ford. i personally think the RTR package vehicles look beautiful tho.

Couple possibilities . . . aesthetically, dark tint comes off as being a bit pretentious, like people think they're limousine-level important without having the means for the long car and its chauffeur. On a more important level, tint that's dark enough makes it impossible for other drivers, motorcyclists, and bicycle riders to know if the driver of the car with the tinted windows has even looked at them.

I'm focusing on dark tint because no matter what tint thread it is, somebody is always pushing for the really dark stuff.

Certainly an interesting thread. I'm not a senior but was interested in all your thoughts. Personally I'm not a big fan of dropped Stangs or wheels hiding in their arches either...

One question, most of you seem to hate Louvers. Weren't louvers both on the rear window and the side window part of that classic Mustang look on many of the cars in the late 60s and early 70s? I would have assumed senior might have gone for those.

Apart from those who have a narcissistic reason, dark window tinting is something I would want for my wife or daughter on their car. These days it's more of a security issue not exposing a potentially soft target for carjacking or worse.
