Limited-Edition Shelby GT350, GT350R Heritage Edition Package

If anyone is still paying an ADM for a GT350 or GT350R, then they need to do a better job of shopping around. I paid $5K over MSRP for my 2016 GT350R that was ordered when the banks opened in 2015 and took delivery of in January of 2016.

It’s not a typical GT350 I am talking about but the statement from Ford “LIMITED EDITION HERITAGE PACKAGE”. I could hear the salesman now “it’s a collectible and Ford is make very few of them”. I don’t think I’m saying anything new that most Ford dealers play these games. It’s up to the buyer in the end to make the decision.

As much as I love the GT500, the GT350R is sure a great looking car as well. Throw the A10 in and tweak the Voodoo to produce another ~50 hp and it would be a beast.

I think it should have a colored spoiler for this edition? maybe white with stripes on it as well?

I would support that wholeheartedly. Heck I've considered painting and striping my track pack spoiler on my car but leaving the wickerbill unpainted.

In the original car, were the stripes painted on? In this version they are not, seems to me they should be painted on too. Then I guess a Ford would charge 10k for it.

Thanks for the great shots of the historical Fords! Being an owner of one of the R model "Base" cars, it would have been another cool factor for this color stripe combo to have been offered at the time.

Yea you'd be looking at the same pricing as the GT500 painted stripes and in would bet that few would take the option at that point.

I wouldn't let a paint and stripe option sway you. They're still two distinctly different models of the same car. If you wanted a GT500 I'd get one as a GT350, while great, won't tick the same boxes for performance that the GT500 does.

I'm pissed. THIS is the car I wanted when I ordered my 2016 white/blue. I really thought since they had offered a Wimbledon white 50th anniversary model, the GT350s would have been offered in WW also. I love this combo...just wish they had done it earlier in the run.

DITTO! I actually have one of the (50) 2015 Track Pack Cars. The dealer I bought it through originally ordered it white with the blue stripes and I had them change it to Magnetic. They asked why since white and blue was Shelby Classic colors and I said, "No, WIMBLEDON WHITE with Blue Stripes were classic Shelby colors!" I also brought up the point about the 50 Years Edition was Wimbledon white, so why couldn't they make that an option for the 2015 cars since they were 50th anniversary cars and, if they were truly a 50th car, ALL 1965 Shelby's were Wimbledon White, but not all 1965 MUSTANGS were... They just said, yeah...

Today. I see this. I called my buddy and told him to BEG his rep at Ford for an allocation for me, but this time I want a 350R since I couldn't get one of those as a 2015. It would be a nice bookend set of 350's...

After Ford is done producing the Heritage GT350 Mustangs , I would like for Ford to produce a Ken Miles special edition GT350 as a tribute to all Ken Miles did to make the Mustang a winner.
