Heat exchangers, VMP vs Whipple

This subject may have been covered before, but I could not find it.
Heat Exchangers, Dual fan vs Over sized no fan.
I saw that Dept of Boost did a very good article about fans or no fans. Twin pass Over-sized or Triple pass with fans.
Lots to take in. They all are so covered up by the front bumper that i am surprised that any thing works.
Triple pass, are they too restrictive on water flow? Need a bigger pump?
Take fans off of the Triple pass with fans?
Just use the Whipple over sized and no fans?
I could not find a size listed for the Whipple.
I do have the Triple pass with fans on order, but now questioning my choice.

Order the VMP without the fans, they will let u do that or order the over sized Whipple


The VMP Kit comes with the better pump, Whipple u will need to order the pump

Yes, I had purchased the Triple pass, Dual fan Heat Exchanger during VMP's Black Friday deal, so the price was very good. Along with their 730 kit.
The Heat Exchanger is Big compared to what was used stock on the 17 RS3.
Over on the SVT performance Forums, someone has listed a comparison of the Heat Exchangers in the 13-14 GT500 forums. By the way, there are some very smart guys over on that forum and they talk about some of these issues about IAT2's, Blower Bypass, etc. a very good read.
I had a 13 GT500, so I had spent a lot of time over on that forum.
I am seeing about a 30 degree rise from IAT1 to IAT2, a little more when it had got to 98 degree here.
The fans do pull strong, so I know it helps with the summer heat coming on strong already, in stop and go traffic, like some car cruises.
At speed, probably is a hindrance, but got to decide what you want from the heat Exchanger.
My car is not a daily driver.

For sure if your a drag racer the fans could be beneficial in the lanes, on the street I don’t think u need the fans but like yuh said they do help in stop and go too

Me personally I’d run the bigger HE without fans
