Leave it on, you don't want anything getting in there. Wrap a small piece of outdoor painter's tape around it tightly.

Here we go guys. I’m waiting for the 5 minute after mixing to stir and go on ahead.

Idk how many coats I have but it’s kinda looking like glass.

Waiting 15 minutes from right now and doing one last coat, I have extra paint but I don’t see a point doing 10 coats?

I know, that has passed my mind as I painted, I took the little stick I used to stir and compared, it does not match it on top of car, but on the side in the shade in my LED garage it matches the darker part. It says G3000 on the kit (which is custom color) if it is a flat out wrong match. I will be upset. It may still work though.

Several photos I just took. I just took off the tape over the little silver pins, and tried to clean them up best I could. Pretty happy with it. Looks nice enough.

Random- I didn’t try yet. Does the black thing pop off or screw off? The bleeder cap
Pops off. Tape it up. If you get it coated in paint it’ll be harder to remove. Absolutely do not get paint on the bleeder valve. Just tape it all up. Bolts too. Will look better for it anyhow

Looks like you did a good job. My other point was going to be to stir and stir and stir that paint all the way through the process. Keep stirring as it settles. That’s how you get a smooth finish. But by your pics you’ve done a great job.

Also. Since I just did this on my car this weekend let me tell you the things i tripped up on installing the calipers. Sorry if this sounds noobish and you probably know better... but if you don’t let me save you the heartache I’ve currently found myself in...

crush washers go either side. Get them facing the right way with the banjo bolt. Groove sides match with groove sides if they are only one way.

NEVER let the master cylinder get empty. NEVEr ( my current predicament) I’m facing a professional reflush.

get them on the car before applying any stickers

flush the brakes properly rear passenger side rear driver side front passenger side front drivers side.

get yourself a power brake bleeder so much easier. You will need the specific mustang adaptor I can tell you which one if you need.

you probably know this but I screwed mine up over a real simple thing which I screwed up the washers got a big leak and now it’s a serious headache.never let the MC empty.

bleed brakes proper in right order.

sorry if this is a duh post. I messed up with mine over something easy. Anything else PM I can give you more advice if you ever need it. My advice comes from failure and learning what my screw ups were. We all do it I suppose at some point.

they look great!!

When I say a professional reflush I mean it’s easy to bleed brakes and I think you can bleed the MC too but more work... but if everything gets dry the ABS system needs to be flushed and that ones hard. Changing all calipers might lead to that scenario. But if you know a better way also please share that with me :)

FWIW If it doesn't match exactly, it will not be noticeable because of the lighting behind the wheel and distance between them and the fenders. The eye expects paint to look different depending on light and angle so will assume the difference is from that.

My orange fury was a pretty close match, but missed the metallic flake obviously. Behind the wheels and out of direct sunlight though the match is solid enough to pass the eye test.

I put a wall outlet wax warmer in the room between paint calipers and rest of house but definitely has some smell from the brake cleaned and painted calipers lingering
