My post did not talk about a TV, it was about a car.
Only Tremec trans and Tequila would I buy something made in Mexico. Now I am glad this Macho-E is made in Mexico along with VW Bugs, junk that no one wants.
Based on your words my impression is that you had a problem with anything other than Tremec and tequila made in Mexico. I find it humorous that Mexico can build a great transmission but their cars are junk.

Use of the Mustang name is annoying, but the mostly non Mustang enthusiasts that will be interested in the Mach E will probably fall for the marketing.

Where it could backfire on Ford is how it stacks up against it's real competition. Maybe an electric vehicle from Ford that gets smoked by Teslas doesn't deserve the Mustang name.

How many in here are going to buy a Mach-e? Exactly. So who cares where it's built. What it's call. Etc. This is a Mustang in name only. I dont know why they even provided a link to a sub forum.
I hear you BigD. I am actually interested in the Mach-E as a replacement for my wifes Escape in early 2021. As someone who worked for a global electronics company with factories all over the world i do not care where it is built. Funny that we all bitch about the quality out of Flat Rock. Built by American's in America. As far as the name, yeah certainly would have preferred something else but we'll see, maybe Ford will reconsider. Either way if this is what my wife wants it doesn't really matter.

So I'm thinking our mantra should be, "I own a real Mustang, a two door 2+2 coupe. It has an ICE (EB, V6, V8) and a transmission (M6, A10). I do not care what Ford does nor what anyone else thinks". So there!!!!!!

I'll say it again. Physically disgusting.

It hurts more every day. The more I think about it..... FML.

Stang Bangin'...The StangLyfe. Means nothing now.

Why bring us all the way here, only to tear us down?

I just want Jim Hackett and Bill Ford to shit diarrhea down my throat , together, until I die. Please, finish the job.

Do I think they should be welcomed/allowed, not really, although there are plenty of Chevelle wagons and El Caminos at Chevelle shows/clubs. But I do believe that eventually, the Mach E will be seen at Mustang clubs/rally/shows.

Perhaps because of all of this my Ecoboost Stang will become a collectors item in short order.:crackup::crackup:

You seem to have your rose-colored glasses on for this vehicle. It hasn't been built or tested by anyone yet. You certainly haven't driven one unless you have some in with Ford. How do you know it's "pretty decent"? Just the appearance of the prototypes and the specs you've been given?
One could say that you have binders on. Why do you think it will not be a pretty decent vehicle? I've owned ford's for decades as have many people on this forum. Wouldn't it make sense that we believe the company we have been giving our hard earned dollars too is going to make a pretty decent vehicle. Just remember the engineers and designers that build this vehicle didn't name it. We need t separate the two and thrust or anger on the Exec's that made this decision.

The Mustang GT isn't fast 0-60 compared to some other vehicles, I agree. If 0-60 is super important to you, I don't think you are going to want a Mach E either.
0-60 is not that important to me but it is to the automotive world. Its the first spec anyone asks about. As far as other vehicle dynamics again I say look at the engineers. I do not expect GT350 handling but if its as good or better than my wife's Escape I'll be happy.

To me the federal and state $$ are a disincentive. I don't want to be a party to the government confiscating people's money and using it to pay for something like this. It smells so much of government/industry corruption I can't even stand it. I don't want a government handout for my next vehicle at all, or any vehicle ever.
I understand the sentiment but we already pay our taxes. I do not mind getting something back now and then. :)
