Yes agree. FWIW I'm a EE - I've designed Lithium to Lead-acid battery chargers and uC control systems from games to medical lasers even one for an Indycar team so I know how many ways this isn't ideal. I have a several smart tenders I could apply. BUT I had to go with the house rules - no unattended stuff like that because....Wooden structure + Old cars & fumes. I can visit it whenever practical for working on it or checking it so that is the only difficult rule. This is free heated storage so I go with the flow. Pulling the + terminal was my choice over letting it drain (i.e. the always on 4G etc) & my GM at my dealership agreed that was the best plan given no tender (my GM is a great guy - went over all the short to mid term storage guidance from Ford with me). If I end up pulling the battery & brining it home it will of course go on the tender.

Hope to build my garage someday but life is throwing some curve balls I'm taking 1 day at a time.
Oh, I didnt know, sorry. I totally get it.

Yes, I agree with you!
good choice on the satin finish! Was it difficult to remove the original ones?
Only the wing in that I fully removed the track pack wing to get the stripes 100% off as they run underneath it and wanted to be able to tuck the new stripes as well. One of the benefits of aftermarket was that the stripes no longer stop 1/4" from the end of each panel and instead wrap around the end of each panel.

That's a good point. How are the visuals on the stripes? What I mean by that is this...the stock stripes are not two straight stripes. They taper down or something over the front and rear. I never noticed it until I had to replace the stripes on my rear bumper and someone pointed it out to me as a reason to stick with OEM. Now that it's been pointed out to me, I cannot unsee it, and curious how two straight stripes will flow with the body.

I don't miss the "taper" at all. Maybe they did or not, never measured.

Factory - don't see any taper in my photos, but you can see where the stripes stop short.

Got a call this morning from my dealer that they had something for me. I knew what it was! Had to see how it looked on car.

The black tags are coveted in DE you can only get one if your number is 86999 or lower. Lower the number the more its worth. They are porcelain and smaller than standard plates. They can be passed down throuhh the family. This plate was on my 1972 Mach 1 so its got some history with me.

Hi Les, I have pan& scan tracking cameras & track guides for shooting some fun videos and yet I didn't have time to use them. No cool driveby or in car views. Barely showed off the car to friends or family. Perhaps we have more incentive to meet up (Scotty & I did one F2F meet up in Reading in back of the Jordan's IMAX - we had 2 shades of blue 2019 GT350's represented). Will have to see if there are any GT350 centric meetups in spring - at worse we MY19 owners could share notes in person. Also I have a parking garage rood here in Needham on 128 that we could do an afternoon shoot at....as long as it is kept small scale & stealth.

For me the waiting for delivery was by far worse because I wasn't sure if it would happen at all. I ordered in December and lost my allocation in April then had to scramble to find one uncertain of the build cycle with Ford who was anything but predictable or forthcoming about such things (allocations or production schedule). It was bad for customers and dealers like mine jerked around. It took a lot of the fun out of it. I had to go from my order with my long term local dealership who was told no more allocations 4+ months past taking orders to going with a dealer in in Iowa 1300 miles away, who had an allocation from January and told a forum member who shared it with me. So not only did everything happen way later than I was told a lot of other things fell through the cracks because of long distance over phone & email mis-communications (I tried like heck to proactively manage it). Delayed gratification is one thing but a delivery end of August was not expected or wanted. Because of delays I went to track attack in July having no behind the wheel experience given my LX5.0 89 has been mothballed for 18 years. Pile on to that all the road construction going on here starting July (late) within 495 & 128 made PPF seems like insurance I needed given how chipped my pampered daily drive Explorer Sport looks - so PPF etc cost more time. I couldn't even drive the GT350, once delivered, to work because the scarification made for ridiculous tramming and debris everywhere. My short season kept me a smidge below 325 miles - barely broken in.

So the car safely away gives me something to look forward to this spring. I hope to sneak in some simple modifications between now in spring and hope that someday I can get a garage built for storage at home. As always the biggest enemy of all that fun is time & back problems but am working on those challenges too.
Cheers.

Bill, after all that time waiting for our cars, so many delays, it’s sad it’s time to put them away already. Don’t know which is worse, waiting for delivery or waiting for winter to be over! At least we have the cars and have something to look forward to! Getting them back out!! I should of done some videos while driving the car and play them back on the 58” TV with the Bose System turned up! On my to do list next year!
Why did you store your cars so early? I mean I washed and drove mine yesterday... as long as it is not snowing, I am not putting mine up for storage. Looks like it's going to be at least another 10 days until I do so.
I even enjoy some less traction with SC2 tires on cold... time for some sideways action :)

Shouldn’t drive below 45 degrees! Sounds like a fanatic, I know! ( I am) A friend of mine with a Avalanche Gray 2017 GT350R drove his car in cold weather and his tires cracked. I’ll try to get and post the pictures he took. After seeing his tires, it’s no joke! Poor guy put a new set of tires on his car (cup 2s) and exactly a week later he had two nails in his rear tire. He replaced that tire and now He said he is going to sell the car in the spring. I’m just being safe than sorry!
My garage is heated and I’m monitoring the temperature as you can see by my picture! Little bit fanatical- Yup! Even more fanatical with my paint! I just got a Gloss Meter Thursday!

I used to drive my Track pack with Supersports whenever was dry before putting her to sleep, no issues in negative temps...
But yesterday was 10 degrees Celsius (50F) in Newton, sunny... so good time for a roll, even with SC2's :)

So... get winter/cold weather wheels? It's about the tires operating temps. Same problem with the stock tires on the Performance Pack GT's.
