You will get your AWD but not from a coyote. Completely different tech and platform being developed here. I can definitely see a true Mustang on this platform eventually but it will be EV only. The S550 will remain around is some form for the hybrid models.

This is my first Mustang and if Ford is going to dilute the iconic nameplate of Mustang by putting it on anything but a pony car it will be my last Ford of any type (My wife drives a Taurus). The Mustang name now means nothing.

I was part of the ST community when the Edge St came out and rumors of the Explorer St. Heard all the same thing, ill sell my ST, screw Ford, They are killing the line blah blah blah... Now some of them traded in their FiST and FoST for the EdST and ExST. Ford will sell them and people will buy them, and the usual enthusiast will complain. That's whats great about being free to pick and choose what you want to buy. You don't like it don't buy it, come on the forum and complain. But as long as there is a market to make money the manufactures will adapt and succeed or fail. People didnt buy focus and fiesta's thats why they stopped making them, people bought escapes and ecosports (i dont know why) other small SUV's CUV's Thats whats in. Ford shot themselves in the foot when they announced no more cars besides the mustang. We bought another Mazda without even thinking of a Fusion, didnt want a car that was no longer produced. been there and done it

So right now we are all really pissed. Mad at Ford, mad at Hackett, mad at everyone. That said there is absolutely nothing any us can do about it. Mustang is now a brand and this is the second vehicle under the banner. Who knows what's to come.

OK, so I'm at a point where enjoying my "real" Mustang is all that counts. I'm done caring about what Ford does. Let's just go back to discussing EB vs V8, auto vs manual, one horn vs two. Honestly why are we even bothering to upset ourselves over this. It's not as if anyone, i.e. Ford, cares.
