It was at Summit (Jefferson Circuit) and it rained all day. It was still a hell of a lot of fun. These cars are just awesome.

I highly recommend taking them to the track. When I first bought it I had no intention of doing so, but after Track Attack I got hooked.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
My first racing school was in an open cockpit and it poured the entire day. My instructor was Indy car driver Scott Harrington and he told me that I would learn more on that rainy day than a dozen dry days, and he was right.

Ya not with bald cup 2 tires. Grip grip, hydroplane and pray you don’t go off. I would love to try it with rain tires

Pics or it did not happen!
Sadly I only have a couple of crappy cell phone pics of my car in the paddock. Nothing worth posting. I will invest in a good track camera for next season.

I did find that I was able to focus more on the proper line and smooth throttle/steering inputs because of the lower speed, so I think it was actually quite helpful.

Also, I was able to experience what the car feels like at the limit of control at much lower speed than normal. It was surprisingly planted overall.

And yeah it was cold too. 50 F all day.

Palmer Motorsports is a VERY technical track... your are never holding the steering wheel straight, you are always turning. Just so you get an idea of elevation difference, here is a view:

^^^ I haven’t driven that track yet but everything I hear is as you said it’s technical and going off track is no bueno. Love the elevation change! Maybe 2020 for me. What group did you run with?

I was in intermediate 1. There is very little runway, if you go offtrack, it's usually tires or concrete barrier; trees at some spots :)

Actually the black Toyota 86 you see behind me, crashed the following session almost in front of me... Exactly that turn pictured, which is a sharp-ish right hander off camber which last turn before the so called "straight" (a long left turn in fact where you could floor it). He applied too much throttle too early, and back went out. He caught it nicely, but then it slapped the other way and hit the concrete barrier with the rear of the car.
I think the car was a write off, as both exhaust pipes were bent in, and trunk lid was heavily bent, must have bent the chassis structure, but I am not sure.

I have a set of Pirelli wets just waiting for their day to shine. I'm equally scared and excited.

I have been pleasantly surprised by the super-sports on wet track. Really really good.
