"Reader beware: If you and this car are seen on the highway, be ready for every boy-racer in his M3/WRX STI/AMG/Camaro/SRT8 trying to race you. When you’re driving a GT350, you might as well have a huge target on the back of your head."

The truest statement in the review. I've owned several hot rods but never have I had so many Mopar 4 doors with stripes want to race me. Fortunately I'm too mature to take the bait :)

True, the Sti kids like to race all the time. I have fun with it if the road is open, I see them coming in hot from behind.....so I will let them get a car or two back and seem to be catching me..then I slowly roll on the throttle....it gives them hope they can catch me.....then i roll a bit more till i can tell their wheezy turbo and gearing have pretty much maxed out.....once their turbo has maxed out on the flow, they cant really accelerate much more....while I have miles and revs to go.

I completely agree. It is amazing how many people want to race you when you drive this car. When I first got the car I thought it was kinda of fun that people were always trying to challenge me, but now after owning the car for a couple of years I'm honestly getting tired of it. I just want to go out and drive it without being challenged by everyone who thinks they have a fast car. Don’t get me wrong, I have had some fun races, but I am getting tired of being challenged just about every time I take the car out. As time has gone on I’m getting better at resisting the urge to race.....

Perfect example.... this last weekend I was out driving minding my own business and I was coming up on a red light. The direction I am heading has three lanes and I’m in the outer lane and in the center is a ZL1 Camaro which is already stopped at the light. As I am getting towards the light I am slowing down when it turns green. I go through the light at about 30mph passing by the Camaro as he is just getting started. Having driven this car enough times knowing that somehow it seems to provoke a response from other drivers, I knew that me passing the Camaro at the light would not go unanswered (again, I'm just minding my own business driving along not hot rodding it or anything) Sure enough a little ways down the road I look in my review mirror and the Camaro is about 3-4 car lengths behind me when I see him pull into the farthest lane away from me and starts accelerating until he is about 2 car lengths in front of me when he starts revving his engine like some kind of punk. I have been in these situations enough to know that this revving was not a call to race but more of doing it to punk me. At one point he hits the gas and speeds up as if to show that he has the faster car and then slows back down to again 2 car lengths ahead of me and then starts intermittent revving his engine again then a little bit later he makes a left hand turn.

I never get these guys trying to race but I always get big smiles and thumbs up from all these other drivers as they definitely know what these cars are.
Yeah, I get the smiles and thumbs up as well. As a matter of fact about 10 minutes before I ran into the punk in ZL1 Camaro, I had a young couple in their 20’s pull up next to me at another stop light and started asking questions about the car and kept commenting on how good it sounded.

It's fun to drive a car that gets reactions in traffic versus a bland econobox like far too many people drive. Dang, I miss my GT350!

I had the thought, “Hack’s gonna miss his GT350” when you posted you sold it. Too much passion expressed here to not think that would happen.

I feel for you Brother!

First time I took my wife out in it we are waiting and a traffic light. When the light changes a guy in another mustang going the other way is frantically waving at me and issuing thumbs up. My wife says "do you know that guy?"

Boy is it. I get kids on the side of the road yelling at me they they like my car, I had a guy at a gas station ask me about it, an old lady in an SUV pull up next o me asking if my BULLITT was a mustang because it had no Pony's', and yesterday a DHL driver chatting me up at a light. I missed getting similar reactions to my mach1.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Yeah, it gets plenty of attention. Seems all of the pickup trucks around me want to cut me off to get their kicks. Minivans also. Must be the race red. I just laugh at that nonsense, make sure the exhaust is in Sport mode and give them a sound check the first chance I get as I do the fly by.

GT350's are such an excellent car, I don't want to drive one because I know I would fall in love. As far as the racing, I get every boy racer and others (Honda Civic Touring, A4's, Hell, minivans even) challenging me in my 16 GT PP, I couldn't imagine having a GT350, it would be even worse for that behavior.

I just snorted my coffee from my nose. I guess I am not the only one. My latest two 'challengers' were a KIA Rio and a Hyundai minivan. I let them both buzz into oblivion as I calmly accelerated away from the stoplight. I had a schoolbus full of kids laughing and giving me the thumbs up. They all have a bright future.
