I thought dealers didn’t have this information yet, is it possible that they’re just hoping for one like that @VooDoo387R?

Just got this from my dealer, feeling pretty good, but now the wait starts...

By looking at your order VooDoo387R Iam going to "assume" that your dealer is a large California dealer and that he indeed does have the "GOLDEN TICKET" that allows him to not only order but actually get the painted stripes and the carbon fiber track package?????

Would you guys stop this golden ticket stuff? There are high volume dealers that get allocations. They have no golden ticket.

Mine went thru and was told if it goes thru your good to go? My dealer didnt get any calls and I have the DORA.

Thats basically what I was asking VooDoo387R but he never answered me. My understanding is this whole thing is a PROCESS. It will go thru several phases and if you are with a really BIG DEALER most likely you will get what you ordered. But for many of us that have put our orders in we really don't know if we are going to get "exactly" what we ordered ala the painted stripes in my case. I didn't even want the Carbon Package. I was told it comes down to a Pecking Order. Big Boys First, Not so Big Boys second, smaller boys next, and Pipsqueaks last. LOL

I know they have not started production as of yet and the CFTP May have to stop during winter months. I’m wondering if anyone has intel when production really starts and the first on rolls off line? I’m hearing October but that has no real facts behind it at all. I’m thinking those of us in winter areas will not be driving ours till March

I went to my dealer Friday and sat down with the sales manager to order my GT500. He told me he did not know if they would get a "golden ticket" (he said golden ticket, not me, hahaha) but they had allocation for one GT500. So what he did was put two cars in the order system. Car number one, a CFTP car and car two, a base model. He told me his Ford Rep would likely contact him Monday and give the nod on which car I could get. So it sounds like the regional Ford rep is the one that actually confirms the order.

Iam thinking thats a safe assumption. It took me 11 months to get my Redeye Hellcat (797 HP) and people tell me oh there was nothing special about that car. Well then WHY did it take them so long??? I had to get a guy high on the Totem Pole involved and finally got some decent answers. Parts constraints was alot of the issue. Also they build all Challengers in Brampton so again the Pecking Order of how they do it comes into play.

Volume wise I don't know. They have multiple stores and sell Ford and Chrysler stuff, but only one Ford Store.

I doubt the Chrysler side of it will do you any good. LOL

I agree. We shall see. My feelings are not going to be hurt if I can't get the CFTP car, but I would love to one of the lucky few!

Not going to lie, he submitted it and it was not rejected. Not sure why others have been rejected and some have not. To be honest this whole Golden Ticket has gotten out of hand. It's also not a large California dealer either. He will confirm with his regional Ford Rep on Monday when he shows up to the dealership. But for now it looks good and I believe he should get the DORA tomorrow, which would give me a warm and fizzy... lol

Mines a small dealer. Sold about 2 or 3 GT350s a year, many Raptors because they sell mostly trucks. I didnt get rejected and my build was put in on day 1.

Who knows, after all, 1250 CFTP cars are a lot, it's not like the 500/year(except '17) GT350R. They will be building a lot of them. it wont be rare, but also not built in huge numbers.
1,000 is a lot of orders.
I wouldn't expect a lot to be rejected until maybe mid way thru the ordering process.
I'm sure Ford wants to sell them, as they order these parts from CR and want to make sure they are selling what they order.
You just never know how sales are going to go for sure. I mean, they have a good idea, but it's never a given.
IMO, it should be first come first serve, then leave a few extra allocations for their buddies that sold a lot of units. Not the other way around. Just Sayin
