Just another "I went to the track" thread. Nothing real spectacular but maybe some advice would be nice. Kinda disappointed really. Time slip attached (Left lane) but best run was a 7.69 @ 94.57. DA was around 2200. Mod's are Kooks LT's, magnaflow Tru-x and Lund E85R tune, BMR cradle lockouts, 3.55's, M/T E/T Street SS 305/40/17. Traction control off, in Drive. Once I was up on the converter, I tried the E-brake trick and it worked ok the first time(best time) but the next time i got slightly more aggressive and blew the tires off. Never had a better pass than the first one. I dont know if I just didn't warm the tires up enough or poor track prep or both but I would have thought that I would be able to hook whatever I had with those. I was running 24psi and I did not try dropping pressure but probably should have.
I'm considering dropping to a 275/45/17 as that gets me under 26" where as I am almost at 28 right now. (And this change isn't to address traction but ET...assuming I get the traction issue worked out.) Thoughts?
