I've been a long time vintage car road racer. Up to this point i've been running a heavily modified 70 dodge Challenger. I finally bit the bullet and went to a late model platform. I live in the milwaukee area and have had my first 2 HSAX / Track days rained out.. UGH.. just bored today and figured i would post a few pictures of my new baby. Its not an R, but i have basically converted it into an R minus the carbon fiber wheels and rear spoiler. Hopefully, i can get a day where it doesn't rain!

If there are any other Milwaukee folks who want to meet up or caravan to Road America, Black Hawk or Milwaukee Mile let me know! - Rob

Where did you get the red badging? I want that too.

Did you add transmission and differential coolers?

Yes, oil coolers have been added. I bought the red badge on Ebay for $10. ohiodesk is the seller. it came with a mounting plate. but frankly it was very slightly larger than the stock badge. it had very sticky double sided tape on it already. I just cleaned the original badge with alcohol and put the badge right over the top of the original. With the location of the badge in the grill, you can't tell thats it over the top of original.

Who made the front tow hook? What is it attached to? I have not seen any which are center mounted like that.

Good luck with your new ride.

They are Hinson tow hooks for corvettes. bolted to front crash beam and i have one welded to the rear bumper as well. can't see it in the picture, but i have one in back as well.

You should be aware that use of the aluminium front beam is not generally recommended (for mounting a tow hook), due to low strength. One of the downsides in replacement of the std Mustang steel front beam with lighter aluminum. FWIW.

I love the white with no stripes. I got OW with stripes to pay homage to the historical colors, but really like the clean look of the OW without the, Good luck.

Thanks tdzee.. this car originally came with the traditional blue stripes. i removed them. (some won't like that.....) used a clay bar, buffed, waxed and sealed the car.. no residual signs it ever had stripes.

Very nice. I like the hood on that solid white car.

Did you buy those carbon wheels direct...? They're bare.
Those are carbon fiber look hydrodipped Project6GR Seven wheels with red barrels. Great aggressive look on the all white car, but they are not bare carbon fiber wheels.

They are as real as the red badge I guess. Who cares.... let the guy have fun in his build.
