So is it definitely the flex pipe? I just bought a 2016 gt pp and it makes this noise under specific conditions. Appreciate any help

We never got a chance to see or hear a video on Bmacil noise. After a year, mine still does it. I will say if I lightly hit the throttle to bring it off low idle the scratching sound goes away. This is without touching the clutch pedal at all. Once the car is warmed up it's gone like the rest here. Very Very annoying and embarrassing.

Something tells me his is not what we have. He said he could hear his when engine braking from 2800rpms.. Which means his engine is well heated and warm. Just the opposite of the rest of us in which the sound goes away once warm.

Well my car does make the noise very quietly at low rpms but goes away when I go above 2000 rpm and it doesn’t always go away when warmed up. It also seems to happening a little more often than the first few months I’ve had the car. I’ll replace the flex pipe and give an update on the progress. Here is a video of the noise when I got home from work

Well I found my sound. As I guessed, it was the flex pipe on the passenger side catalyst outlet pipe. It's partially separated from the pipe and is rattling at idle but also particularly bad under light load right off idle or engine braking at 2k and 2.8k rpm.

I'm ordering one of these and will take it to the exhaust shop near my house and have it put in.

Is there still no noise and did the shop just weld in this new flex joint? I have a salsa shaker noise on warm startups and when accelerating on light load. I checked underneath the car and I can hear the flex joint rattle when hitting the pipes. I was thinking the dealer would be able to fix it, but don't know if they weld it in or have to order another cat. Heres a sound of the noise for reference:

Correct. It doesn't make noise anymore and they just welded in a 4" long, 2.25" pipe flex that I supplied. I believe it was Vibrant.

I had a rattle from the flex pipe as well. Thanks for the thread and info. I used the vibrant 62706 part.
