While in Vegas over the weekend, I spoke with some friends at Shelby American and they are waiting on steering wheels as well. They have some builds they can't complete because of the steering wheel shortage.

I ordered mine in January after taking three days to choose a color and options (I settled on no options). I saved the emails to remind the dealer of the price.

It will get here when it does. The delays are just temporary, and I can't think of another car that I would buy (in this price range---we all need a new Ford GT).

What color did you select?

Mine was ordered on 04-29-19 and they "expect" a delivery date in early July... I think that is a bit optimistic on their part, but I will patiently wait the duration. Sine we're fairly close, we should get the new toys together for a photo opt once they are both in Atlanta.

I went with Magnetic. It looks to me to be a dark gray. Porsche calls it Agate Grey Metallic like this car.

I hope I get a car by late summer so to drive the mountain roads for a good break-in period before the leaves start turning and all the RV's and Corvette guys clog up the roads.

You mean to say Ford transported Mustangs to the Shelby American facility in Vegas without steering wheels? Did Ford put temporary steering wheels on them in order to ship? That's pretty bizarre!

I am confused. Why would Ford even send any cars directly to Shelby? They are not a Ford dealer. I am pretty sure it has to be delivered to the Ford dealer first

Shelby is a Manufacturer. I'm not sure how many cars are shipped there directly from Ford if any. I thought most if not all are bought through dealers and shipped there. Over the years, several products were shipped direct. The early Shelby GTs and the GT500KRs are such examples. If there were missing wheels they are probably replacement types
