Why the heck did you buy a V6 S550?

If I couldn't have a GT, I'd rather have the v6 over the ecoboost. 100 percent. Numbers arn't everything to me, and i think the v6 is a better engine. If i had a 4, i'd always be hitting boost anyways which takes away the benefit of gas mileage. I love a good v6 engine (drove a 2001 acura 3.2 cl for 13 years, great engine). If i'm gonna waste time with a turbo and possible reliability issues, it's gonna be a turbo'd 6 or 8 cylinder.

You are correct sir.

So I’ve added the caveat to only use my secrets of street racing on closed course simulations.


Now you may ask: But Fatguy how to I get the Mustang GT dude in the right lane if he is in the left? Well in the chapter titled “Tracking Characteristics of the Mustang GT Driver” you will see that all you have to do is quickly come up on the GT on his right and the zoom in behind him on the left. The GT driver will become full of confidence and deliberately go into the right lane to initiate a race or intimidation. As he does this without evaluating the street you will probably get lucky and he is f**ked with a capital “F”.


When the GT floors it and sees trouble ahead he will lift. So even if he is supercharged he won’t chance hitting other vehicles and such at full acceleration! He will have to slow and take it up the ass that he lost to a V6. A little humility is good for the soul.


You can win at his game!
I know your trolling for the lulz, but you don't win a race because someone has to shut down due to a some obstacle. You remind me of this guy in high school(literally) "I never loose, because I don't let off till 150". Please.

A win is a win when they have to pull in behind you and kiss your car’s ass! No exceptions - they were beat...


Did that with a Porsche Carrera 4 who gave himself a half car lead before the lights changed. This was with the V6 just after I broke it in (and in front of the club crowd at 1:30am - nothing finer).


Slowed down in my 5.0 back in the day and matched speed, just to give them the option of driving off the road or kiss my ass - and I always tried to look them in the eye and smile!


I’m funny that way...


Some followed me and took it out on my car - but those “mementos” meant much to me like dueling scars and I never repaired them...

I've said this in other threads. The Barra line is amazing. Side note, can we also get the Falcon back?
I also think this would have instantly overcome the v6 stigma in the truck. I6’s have a better reputation as truck motors than v6, even if it’s undeservedly so.

Was the S550 6cyl the same used in the Taurus Police Package?

Yes but FWD with internal water pump (says they fixed the problem of it dumping rad fluid into the engine). The Mustang has a different arrangement so no worries.

I was just wondering if it was the same or similar V6, didn’t know of those issues.

What about the Police Explorer, does it use the same as the S550?

I think the v6 is treated like the bastard stepchild because it gets put in every single configuration possible from sports coupe to crossover to minivan to pickup. She's the village bicycle, and it's hard to feel special when you know everyone's had a ride.

It’s a shame fat guy didn’t have a YouTube channel. If he would have posted videos of all his GT kills. It most likely would have saved the V6. Who wouldn’t want a GT killer for 22 grand?
Should make a YouTube channel dedicated to part throttle racing.
