Heritage-Inspired Grabber Lime Arrives for 2020 Ford Mustang

DEARBORN, Mich., March 15, 2019– Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, Ford is unveiling Grabber Lime for the 2020 Mustang. More potent than krypton-ite, this high-impact green inspired by a vintage Mustang color from the 1970s is sure to leave other muscle cars green with envy.

“It’s lime green on steroids,” said Barb Whalen, Ford color and materials manager. “This color traces back to a Mustang heritage color while bringing it forward with more modern, dynamic pigments and bold new energy.”

Grabber Lime is one of two new feature colors available across the Mustang lineup for 2020; Twister Orange is the other. In addition, new Iconic Silver and Red Hot Metallic will freshen up the new Mustang palette, including for Shelby GT350 and Shelby GT500 models.

“These bright, vibrant retro colors are trending in design – in home furnishings, sportswear and even appliances,” said Whalen. “Aspirational and confident, they are fun, youthful colors that make a statement of how you want the world to see you and who you want to be. And your car is an extension of that.”

The new 2020 Ford Mustang arrives this fall.

It's a good thing I don't like the 18+ front end (stops me from making a bad financial decision). So many options and colors I like...

If I did:
PP level 2 with Recaros and either Kona Blue or Grabber Lime. Active exhaust.

Looks more like Gerber baby food green.

Looks bad; the color and the GT500.
Agreed on the color but others might like it. The GT500 I do like the look of, but it takes some getting used to, just like people who really hated the 18 refresh. I also think the brighter the exterior color the harsher that contrast is for the front grille and it really throws people off.

Something about the 'face inside of a face' style with massive blacked out portions doesn't input right. Same trend with the new Camaro SS..the GT500 actually looks very similar to the Camaro in that regard.

Hmmmm.... do we see another retro “BOSS” coming up in the future (possibly retro BOSS 429, because they already did the 302).

That new retro color is based off of the original Medium Lime Metallic but with ALOT more “pop” to it:

They need to bring back Calypso Coral.

A buddy had a '70 Boss identical to that one. Great car. He kicks himself for selling it for a house down payment back in the '90s.

I had a big-block '75 Ranchero GT in a similar color also.

I actually like it. With the black stripes and the GT500's black accents it pops nicely. Not at the top of my list of must have colors, but it's a welcome change of pace from the typical blacks, silvers, and whites that dominate the streets.
