I've always enjoyed sunroofs, thought I'd look into getting a nice, in-built one put in my car.

And then I looked at the roof of my car.

Damn it. I never noticed that before.

F*@kin' Ford. Seriously? C'mon now!!!!:cwl::cwl:

I was about to say.... the roof is nowhere flat enough for a sunroof (and look good)

There's a few curved sunroofs for curved roofs, but those speed-creases running down the roof make it impossible.

One of my top requirements - NO sunroof
Love 'em, really makes the drive more enjoyable. Without the car having the structural integrity of a soggy noodle.

You would have better luck having a company form a polycarbonate sheet to the curvature of the roof (buy a roof body panel from Ford and have them make a mold from that) and then having the entire roof body panel replaced with the polycarbonate one. Of course you would need a custom headliner as well but you would get the glass roof that Ford never gave us.

A glass roof S550 would be sick. :inlove:

I have considered doing it but do not have the upfront funds or time required to complete it...
Rob a bank, once you finish the turbo kit you might be fast enough to get away with it too!

If you wanted a sunroof on a Mustang you should have bought a convertible. There's your sunroof.

In all seriousness though, I like sunroofs as well... until they start leaking...

Even if it fit, it is a great way to devalue your car. I would never buy anything with an aftermarket sunroof.

This is the right answer. Can't get any more sun than on a convertible.

This!
Seriously.... after working at a Ford Dealership for several years.... I will never own a car with a sunroof/moonroof or a convertible.
Way too many issues over time.
But to each their own...:thumbsup:
