It is now a 22.2 mm bar off of a hardtop GT with the PP handling suspension. Note: This is larger than the 21.7 mm in the vert PP from the factory and much larger than the 20 mm bar standard on the GT!
I went from a 20.0 MM bar to a 21.7 mm bar and now, just put on the 22.2 mm bar off a hardtop GT PP 2015 Mustang.

I've never seen anything documented that the rear swaybar on a GT convertible with the Perf Package isn't the exact same as the coupe. Also the base and PP fronts are the same spec bar in terms of diameter, it's the mounts and bushings that differ.

Hi MaskedRacerX

On my journey through 3 Ford sway bars I found out, that my GT vert (non-powerpack) came with the 20 mm sway bar. Hardtop GT's came with a 21.7 mm.

So my first step was to get rear bar off of a Ecoboost PP, which was 21.7 mm. Somehow, I discovered through the forum, the the PP verts also had a smaller bar than the hardtop- 21.7 mm versus 22.2 mm. Again, that was due to the heavier weight of the vert (some say 200 pounds) which makes it closer to a 50%/50% weight distribution.

It's hard to find actual millimeter data on the bars, but I was able to find examples on the 3 sway bars on my car and info from other members. Even I would like more proof from someone taking off their vert's rear PP bar to back up information I discovered earlier.

Thanks

Heck, I'd try to measure it, but I don't think I can get a really accurate diameter[?]

I've looked into the GT350 bars, and I've talked to BMR about their SB043 kit which is a 35(f)/25(r), comes with Poly-U bushings, it's an adjustable bar too. Obviously, it's pretty stout, so there's always the compromise between handling and NVH.
