I can do that but then I think I lose all the other Car Play functions. GRRRR...

This shouldn't be this hard for everything to work together.
You can always use Waze instead if you do not like the Apple maps.

Based off everything you've said, I'd say the package is probably not worth it for you. But there's a few other points I want to mention that haven't been brought up yet.
-Memory seats are nice if you take your car in for service since some mechanics move them around. It's nice to hit a button and go right back to your position without fidgeting with it for a bit to get back to the perfect spot.
-I've never had navigation in any of my previous Mustangs but I'm enjoying it in the Bullitt for one main reason, speed limits. Even on the home screen it'll show a small view of the map and there's a speed limit sign for the road in the bottom corner. Maybe it's just me but on unfamiliar roads I often miss the signs and am wondering what the speed limit is. I've been referencing that little map much more than I expected. I know all the CarPlay map apps have this as well, but I personally don't plug my phone in unless I need to navigate somewhere, so when I just hop in and drive, still having the speed limits is nice. Another perk of the built-in nav is that it works all the time, even in areas without cell service. This comes down to how often you find yourself without cell service, but if you venture into a dead zone, it can be quite nice to have. I always use Waze myself with CarPlay, but it's nice to have a backup on road trips, etc in case the phone or service fails.

Again, nothing I listed is a necessity and none of it is probably worth $2,100 but just extra little perks I thought worth mentioning.

I think the better question is. Will I be happy with the base stereo, and if not, what are the alternatives?....How much would you end up spending to get an after market system as good or better...never mind the hassle of having it installed....

If you enjoy listening to music in your car, just spend the money and know you get all the other features.....

Hi everyone,

I'm Bullitt hunting and would you guys say the B&O is really worth $2,100? Is it actually BETTER speakers or just MORE speakers? Nothing else in the Tech/electronics package really appeals to me so unless the B&O is really amazing vs the standard system I may just skip it.

Thanks.

Just incase anyone wants to know Why I don't have interest in the other parts:
• BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert (CTA) - I haven't ever needed this in any previous car so I see no reason to get it now.
• B&O Play™ Premium Audio System by HARMAN (12 Speakers) includes CD Player, HD Radio™ and Subwoofer intrunk - This is my "Maybe". I have a nice Hi-Fi system at home, I listen to FLAC on nice quality headphones, but I've also never had any real complaint about the sound in any of my previous cars (Base model Altima, or 2004 Mach1).
• Memory: Driver Seat (three (3) settings), Mirrors, and Ambient Lighting - Only I will drive this car so I don't see a need for this.
• Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation System with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link® (SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link® includes a five (5)-year prepaid subscription. SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link® services is not available in Alaska and Hawaii.) - Not sure why I would use this when I'd be using Google Maps via the Android Auto.
The memory seat feature was a particularly attractive convenience to me being older and arthritic. That too makes the Recaros unattractive. I first experienced the memory seat feature on my 2017 Impala Premium model. I thought it was a frivolous feature at first, just as I did cruise control many years back. But... once I got used to it, just like cruise control, I appreciate it. There are lots of things I am willing to pay for at this stage of life (ex. paying someone to do my oil changes) that I thought silly years ago. I’m also financially more comfortable today than years ago and that has an impact on some of my decisions. If that helps me enjoy the car experience enough that I am willing to buy a fun sporty car, then it’s worth it. So, it not necessarily a good or bad choice, just one of preference, personal taste and value. As I mentioned in a previous tongue and cheek post, at this stage of life I’m on a mission to have my last check bounce... Bruce

Whoops, that’s supposed to be “tongue in cheek” - just another senior moment... Bruce

You do make a good point about the seats, I have a bulging disc that acts up from time to time.

Another way to look st the $2,100 is that it represents about a years worth of gas for the average driver. That’s just a rough calculation for illustrative purposes... Bruce

Thank you, I found it. Couldn’t find that answer on the internet for some reason.

BLIS/CTA is much nicer than you might think. I never wanted/needed it just like I never wanted or needed a rear video camera or heated seats. It will pay for itself if it prevents just 1 incident.

Still, B&O + BLIS/CTA for $2100 is steep.

Even if I got the Package that would be 100% turned off even if I have to cut wires. I have yet to have ANY brand of that system not trigger more times to annoy me than help me. I know a light is "supposed" to mean something is there, but as a person that work in IT everyday I will NEVER trust it. We cant even get systems to even reliably turn on all the time, no way in HELL will I trust my life to one. If I have to look anyway, the pretty lights are useless to me.

We will agree to disagree on BLIS+CTA the difference being I actually have experience with it.

Mothers MB I borrow when my car was in the shop would constantly trigger when I was approaching a bend in the road as if I was going to hit the trees.
Wife's Infiniti, just tonight, was giving me tons of rear warnings in the rain while I was doing 50mph, and nearly the only one on the road. No one was behind me. It also seems to have no logic in when it thinks it should tell you to brake. 2 bus lengths back, or just 10ft.
The BMW prior to the Infiniti would give side warnings at nearly anything with in 10ft of the sides of the car. Other cars, road signs, posts, guard rails...

And yet all 3 of these are constantly called really good somehow. I just see them as something that ADDS stress to my driving.

And my prior Lexus and now the Mustang are good. Going backwards in time prior to Lexus, my last Audi wasn't terrible but my BMW and first Audi were. That about covers it going back to 2012. A lot has changed over the years, systems are getting better and some manufacturers are better then other.

The adaptive cruise and forward collision warning on the Mustang OTOH still require some development...THOSE will drive you crazy.
