I did some fitment today with the Wheels only still waiting for tires to come in next week. As I had predicted and measured they fit perfect and clear everything easily. The widening is always done to the inside of the barrel so it's easy to figure out. With the suspension at full extension the wheels pokes out from the fender about 1/2" but that tucks in as the suspension goes down. I was only able to get it to compress so much without the tire on, but at that point the wheel is flush with fender and it will go in more when the full weight is on. Everything cleared great and thanks to the Steeda shock mount I have more than 1/4" clearance from wheel lip edge to mount, nothing else comes close.

Edited. I looked at the numbers again and 20x10 ET 35 becomes 20X12 ET 60.5 after the widening so it looks like you'll be good after the Steeda parts.
I was told offset doesn't change when widening a wheel. Your just
adding material to the inside of the wheel. Not changing the wheel

Has anyone widened the 19X8.5 Black package wheels? Thinking of adding 2" to mine so I can run a 305/35/19 MT SS on the rear. Factory 255's are decent on concrete, but suck on asphalt.
Thank you!

Thx for the info. So since you're widened to 12" all of us narrower than 12" should be fine? Correct? I am getting the Steeda shock mounts as well. And my tech said he can take an 1/8th of an inch off the inside lip with no problem to structure strength if needed. But from the looks of it my Foundry 9" wheels widened to 11" will have no problem at all. Again thx man.

Offset is the measurement from center of the wheel to hub mounting face. So when widened it doesn't change how the wheel outer edge relates to the fender edge, but if you where to measure offset after widening it changes. So in my case stock 20x10 with 35 offset I added 2" which is 50.8mm so half that gets added to the offset 50.8 divided is 25.4 added to the stock offset of 35 = 60.4. So now with my wheels widened to 12" the offset is 60.4

When widening a wheel backspacing is more important. Backspacing is the measurement from wheel mounting hub face to inner wheel lip. So in our case whatever you add to the wheel when widening yo add to the backspacing.

Yup gotcha. I think I meant to delete that part and didn't delete it all. Lol I was just worried about how much room between outside lip and fender. I think I'm overthinking a bit. Time to relax about this for a while. Lol

Tires came in early so I'll try and get them mounted Monday if possible. These Nitto 315/30 20 are a brand new size just came out this Nov. Nitto NT555 run wide compared to other brands, the Dunlop 325/30 I had returned because they were old stock are as wide as these 315/30's. Here are some pics and measurements of the tire and the widened 12" wheel. It looks like with the measurements theses tire should fit just a hint of stretch, but mounting well tell.

Wheels from Rim outer edge to edge 12 3/4"
Wheel inner beed seat 11 3/4"

Tire inner bead edge to edge 11 1/2"
Tire tread width 12"
Tire overall width 12 7/8"

Looks like they are actually 11.5" wheels. You measure at the tire beads.

They are 20x10" as they come from Niche and 2" of material was added and I confirmed that. The inner bead to bead measurement came out to 11.75".

Good looking tires. What did they cost you? I was told the width of the saw blade is subtracted off the overall width. So maybe that is where your losing some?

Sounds like Niche is rounding up.

Weldcraft says you only loose 1/16" from the cut. My bet is the measurements the wheel manufactures make on these is from midpoint of the wheel inner lip. I measured from the flat part before it starts to turn up and if you've seen the lips they are angled so there can be some difference there.

Edit just found this and seems some measure from the middle of the edge where I measured from the bottom. I'll get a new measurement to confirm.

My wheels are being shipped back to me right now from Weldcraft. Did they paint them in any way, or did you repaint them yourself?

They don’t paint. I used Duplicor etching primer then primer filler sanded then cleaned and then flat black. Lots of tapping and prep but came out OK.
