Are there really any differences in Oil from a 'Quick Lube' place as
opposed to a dealership/parts house oil?

If you cant do it have a dealer do it, the ones at the dealer are not mechanics, generally guys learning or in school to be a mechanic or just a guy that does the oil and tire rotations, last thing you want is some smoe from a quick lube putting in the wrong oil, forgetting to tighten the oil plug, etc.. Either one though, make sure you watch them do it and count the quarts they put in, etc..

Many ( not all ) quick lube places do a great job.

There's a dealership near me that has done a number of Roush SC installs, yet their service department people worked on my '15 once and didn't tighten the filter so I was slowly leaking oil. Also had a family member bring their Explorer in for an oil change and they didn't properly secure the pan shield underneath so it came off while driving. They heard a loud plastic tapping/dragging sound until the whole thing came off and banged up a bunch of stuff underneath as it rolled under the car and shattered. That's not even to mention they scratched my inner door handle and screwed up my driver's-side window auto down-up when you open/close the door.

So there are no guarantees anywhere. My only concern with a "Quick Lube" place is making sure what they're putting into the car. You know what the Ford folks are putting in. Especially important if you're under warranty.

Go with a dealer so you know it will get the motorcraft brand oil. ..unless you can find a quik lube that offers motorcraft. .

Yes, there is definitely difference in oil quality and additive package between all oils...especially basic ones from a quick lube place and high end stuff.
