I ended up an £51,480 for a Need for Green manual cabriolet. About £12k more than i paid for my car, and although it has a couple of bits i dont have. Thats 30% more in just 2 years (and i still dont like the looks as much).
But with Ford asking a lot more for the cars now, it cant do the resale values of the early cars any harm.

GFMV is still £18025 on the MY18; same as the 15, 16 and 17.

My dealership said that it should be going up with the MY19, and I damn well hope so now that the car has a starting price above £40k

I suspect they are just being careful, i would expect a 3 year old Mustang to be worth quite a bit more than £18k, leaving a healthy bit of equity in the car for you at the end

For those looking at where the extra costs are, it is also within the safety systems that now come as standard and are not on the 15-17 cars. You get -

Adaptive cruise control
Collision prevention assist
Lane departure warning system
Lane keep assist

All of which now get the car a 3 star NCAP rating, you also get as standard on the GT -

New Gen3 Coyote V8
Digital Dash
Active exhaust sound system
Auto high beam
Auto Rev match on manuals

So that is quite a bit of extra kit that now all comes as standard that wasn't on the 15-17's, so once you start looking at that, plus the currency markets, Brexit and many other things that affect pricing and materials, I don't think it is that much of a stretch.
I was told, but never had it verified officially, that the first batch of cars for export where close to loss leaders given the original pricing, but they sold far better than expected, so Ford are now offering far more choice, but as we still have a highly spec'd standard export car compared to the US basic entry level, prices will reflect that. They are close to the ceiling of how high they can go, but you still can't get that level of kit, performance and V8 engine from anyone else anywhere near the price point.
Was given a GMFV on a '17 quote at £19600 so I expect the '19's to be over £20K and will also be deal dependant.

And out of that list only the slight increase in HP, the active exhaust and auto rev match is of any use to me. But then you have to put up with the revised front end, although the 18 front has grown on me after seeing it in person from yuk to meh.

Just looking at the configuratior and pics on autotrader it looks like we dont get the stripes on the ebony leather seats like they do in the states...

I suspect the bullitt gauge pack is only on lhd cars as ford would have to re tool for rhd with gauge pack whereas they already have the lhd dash centre moulding in stock. No Torsen diff or gt350 IM on the bullitt either in export spec.
Are the recaros available on the gt or only on the bullitt?
