Here is my bedroom setup with the Sony 65" OLED.

I waited OLED out a few years and glad i got the A1E as it is better than my Panny 60vt60 plasma was.

I can only imagine how good "2001: A Space Odyssey" Looks and sounds on that system.

I just have the old DVD of that movie. I know SPACE1999 looks good on BD.

I am but haven't upgraded everything in a while and have been more into home automation lately.

That's a 50 inch Samsung Plasma from about 8 years ago now - still going strong. And just a Samsung sound bar / sub under it.

The kitchen, dining room, and 2nd floor hallway have in wall speakers and there are a pair of speakers on the patio that link back to an amp in the basement. It's input comes from 4 (1 for each zone) Apple Airport Expresses that we send music to from our phones or laptops.

Lights are controlled by Apple HomeKit, plus the thermostat. No door locks yet - not after that security breach last week. I can use a key just fine.

Past that, each TV (family room, patio and master bedroom) have current Apple TVs and those run DirectTV Now app, HBO, Netflix and Hulu.

A cable to network box in the basement takes local channels and sends them to the Apple TV via the Channels app.

When I upgrade, the entire fireplace and bookshelves will come out. Where the TV is will be a floor to ceiling wall that's hollow behind it - wide enough to hold a 60 inch TV. A new mantel out of cherry. behind this wall will sit a rack for amps and such. New bookshelves on either side (floor to ceiling) and then drop ceiling speakers in for the family room. The false wall will be covered in granite or travertine or something fancy / light in color.

'Been planning this for years but it'll be a lot of work, a lot of dust in a main part of the house and I just don't feel like it yet, lol...

Probably more A than V :) The 60" Pioneer Kuro has since been replaced
by a 75" Samsung 4K

Nice Paradigms!
I just got them. I go thru speakers a few times a year. Just had some B&W CM10 S2's and sold them a while back and used a some B&W 685 S2's until i found the Studio 60V5's. They just fit in my C6.

B&W are super speakers. Loved my Kuro the 5020. I had a Panny 60vt60 for over 4 years. I picked up the Sony 65" A1E OLED never out of the box for such a good price at $2800 i had to jump.

Such a festive athmosphere in your home, Isium. Way to go! I like your plan and I hope you post some pics when everything's done.

I run a 65" LG OLED, paired up to a Yamaha RX-V681 and Pioneer Andrew Jones 5.1 setup. Serves me well.

I'm not as much into it as I used to be, I don't own my own home so I have to be careful with volume unfortunately, hence why I have my huge audio system in my car, but nonetheless I still love my home system.

I have a 51" Samsung plasma on a custom swivel wall mount I made, Polk Rti A7 Floor speakers in the front and Polk Rti A3 Bookshelfs for the rear. Hooked up to a Pioneer Elite series receiver and a 10 band physical equalizer for music.

No subwoofer for the reasons mentioned above but these Polks do pretty damn good without one. I used to have a Dayton Audio 12" woofer with a plate amp in a custom enclosure though. Thing would rattle things off of shelves in the whole house :D

A/V is one of my other passions. My theatre system consists of a 55" LG OLED, Marantz SR8500 which I way need to upgrade, Oppo UDP203 4K Blu-ray player and an Atlantic Technology System 4400 speaker setup. When I listen to my records I've got a Marantz 4400 receiver, Snell QBx monitors and a Pro-ject Perspective plugged into a Music Hall Cruise Control speed controller. An older system but it performs admirably.

You'll have to excuse the mess...

Two shots of my Home Theater, most of which I built. The speakers, subs, sub EQ, etc. I spent 3 grand just on the components of the front, center, right, and maybe about the same on the subs. One is an 18", one is 12, both sealed, both driven by separate 2.5 killowatt amps seen in the pic of the amplifiers. The LCR, and rears are powered by an Emotiva 300 watt X 5 amp in the picture. All together, it takes 3 separate circuit breakers to fire the thing. Way over kill, if I could sell off without losing my ass, I would. Getting old...

It sounds freaking fantastic! Literally have cracked sheet rock with the bass. The design for the LCR speakers was an internet fave 10 years or so ago. That center speaker weighs 120 lbs alone, the bigger sub about 200lbs. 2.25" thick. You can rap your hands on the cabinets, and it sounds like a tombstone.

I spent close to three grand on that TV, a 70" sharp quatron. Now you can go to Wal*Mart, and get a pretty kick ass 75" for half that.
I use a Yamaha receiver that feeds all the other amps. I like it, has a great self EQ feature that measures the room with a mic that you move around to 10 different spots.
