WTAF?...I thought this was just an option thing...not in limited numbers ar dealers?? BS I say!!!

Anyone else having an issue???? Seems strange to me????
I called a high volume dealer in my area.
They stated they were allocated 3 Bullitts and had 4 inquiries.

Sounds like a bidding war is about to ensue!

I may just order a regular GT at a discount and with the money saved, make it really mine.......maybe a Supercharger! :clap2:

My dealer confirms the same. They received no allocation in the first pool so the next possibility to place an order is late 4th quarter.

I think there might be "some" misinformation.

Go and order a Bullitt, your dealer can't stop you...! You will wait, while your dealer waits for theirs. While the on the other hand, the Dealer can only order what Ford allows them to have on their floor and are allocated. Essentially, Customer orders don't have anything to do with Dealer inventory

The Bullitt is not a Ford Performance vehicle, just like the California special isn't. There is essentially no limit to sales of the Bullitt (8k per year?). I expect the initial production runs to be "treasured" for those who need a Bullitt, yesterday. But otherwise, after MY2019 production starts, I would think you'd see as many PP2's as Bullitt's coming off the line. The Bullitt puts much less stress on production line than a PP2, it has fewer options packages. As such, much easier to pass threw the production line than a Ford Performance vehicle.

I am sure Ford will make sure that Dealers get their "show room" cars in more volume than personal orders, but there will be enough Bullitts to go around, for anyone who is willing to wait a few extra months longer when they order.

BTW... does Anyone think Ford can sell 16k Bullitts in 2-years ..?

There might be some chance, depending on volume outside the North American market. There's a lot more publicity for this version as compared to the other two. Also, the other 2 versions had shorter production windows, based on their model year introduction timing.

I was thinking the 2 year total would be over 12,000.

I just asked my dealer this.
He stated the order would not go through without allocation.

Not sure how dealerships and allocations work.

I’m sure every dealer would like a Bullitt on the showroom floor with a hearty ADM Listed.

That is close to my guess. (8k+ in NA & 1.52+ in Europe?)

Essentially nothing outstanding in the Bullitt's package, that can't be had, or a flip through a FP catalog won't fix, but to most that don't matter. The allure is, that the 2019 Mustang Bullitt is such a tight stand-alone package. Utterly unique and unassuming in a crowd!

It says less, with having more. (A true "less is more" concept and conservative approach that screams must have to many enthusiasts.) Not-to-mention, that Dark Hunter Green is just (mind-boggling) alluring...

Arguably, it is the perfect American iconic "sports car" for the oldschool non-nonsense owner. Plus, the Bullitt's price is right and true to form.

I am just unable to tell how much Ford is going to market the 2019 Bullitt and if they are going to push (entice) the older crowd (ie: Steve McQueen crowd), or even how much nostalgia will play a role, in total sales.

I can see 12k world wide, being possible.

Go through another dealer that does have an "allocation". Make a road trip or get it trailered. Lots of way to work around this if a dealer refuses to order you a car or wants ADM. I'm getting mine through a dealer 4 hours away. Just depends how badly you want it.

Honestly, I think it's possible. Mostly because they priced it so competitively. It comes down to the options people want, but if you want the Bullitt's unique packaging of options (digital gauges but no nav for example) it really comes out to a very minimal price bump for 20 extra hp. As long as people don't mind DHG or black for colors, I could see this being almost a no-brainer up-sell to Premium PP1 manual shoppers to get some extra hp with a full Ford warranty and financing.

Have you locked in on a price yet? (Guaranteed?)
What’s stopping the dealer from selling it to a guy with deeper pockets?

One dealer who had 3 allocated talked it up like pure unobtanium!

Yes. Just go to a volume dealer that's interested in selling cars instead of scaring people away. As for selling it out from under you, that just requires a dealer with some integrity. If they promise you the car and agree on a price, they should honor their promise. There's many dealers that are happy to make several grand selling at MSRP and turning those people into lifelong customers instead of price gouging a sucker and burning all their bridges pissing people off.

Koons Baltimore Ford has six Bullitt allocations of which two are currently spoken for. From my conversation with Tom Snyder the sales manager, they should be MSRP deals. Their number is 410-298-3800 and just ask for Tom.

My dealer just finshed putting in my retail order for a Bullitt and the system took the order fine. Highland Green with electronics, magneride, and car cover.

Now when this build becomes available is a waiting game.

You guys can count yourselves lucky you don't know what a real allocation problem is.
Ford New Zealand has been allocated 25 Bullitts in total and they already have orders for 38
Luckily I paid my deposit 3 weeks ago so I have a fighting chance.
Then we have to wait for RHD production to commence and then the cars take a month to get here from Baltimore where they are shipped
Life at the bottom of the world ain't easy for a Bullitt buyer!!!!
Have a great Easter all

Just went to 6 dealers today in southeast Alabama. Four of them wanted $5k over sticker. The other 2 couldn't give a price. Looks like I'll be waiting until the hype dies down.
