Is there a dyno comparison between stock manifold and 18 manifold on stock car? Can't seem to find one in the last 46 pages..thanks

2016 GT M6 performance pack, whipple charged
so I read that some of you are having clearance issues. is that only when using the stock manifold cover? I don't use mine and a I also have bmr motor mounts that are adjustable. will I need to lower them to make this work? I also ordered the imrc pigtails plug and play.

it fits in the car fine without changing anything, if you want to use the 15-17 manifold cover so it 'looks stock' that has to be modified.

Can you expand on this at all? Is swapping over the 2018 IMRC tables in the tune required to make this swap work without throwing codes?

I think there are probably a decent amount of people out there who are hoping to be able to swap the 2018 manifold over on their current tune.

You can use your tune you have now as long as ur not in top end like about 6500 I would say it will lean out big time due to a lot more air moving through

So forgive me for asking, but is this manifold worth putting on a NA '17 and where do I get the pigtail to adapt the imrc's? Has anyone got a true plug an play adapter yet or does it all have to be modified? I want the imrc's to work as I drive on the street most of the time. What's the best way to go, if at all?

I wouldn't think that the imrc tables should have anything to do with throwing a code. They are just telling the car at what throttle, rpm, etc to open and close the imrc. Your car seems to not be opening them completely or at all. Did you redo your vacuum lines yet in an attempt to get the imrc working correctly?

Mine is throwing the same code as his we have been talking, my imrc are working I can physically see them, after I take the car for a drive they both stop working but no CEL a few mins later it shows up P2005

depends on what you want from your car. I was going to go the '18 route but opted for another route.

Mine is throwing the same code as his we have been talking, my imrc are working I can physically see them, after I take the car for a drive they both stop working but no CEL a few mins later it shows up P2005
If you know that they are physically working then it either has to be a wiring issue or the signal sent to the ecu by the 2018 IMRC sensor is not the same. Do we know what type of signal is relayed to the ecu from the IMRC sensor? Is it volts or ohms or just on/off?

So I'm looking at a datalog from my car. The stock imrc sensor sends a signal of 1.12 volts when it is closed and 3.96 volts when it is open. Now we just need to know what a 2018 signal is. Maybe it sends a lower voltage when open and the ecu is thinking that it is closed because it never sees the 3.96 volts that is required to be open.

I respectfully disagree with this. I've had my 18 manifold w/PP2 tune revved to 7200rpms and it didn't lean out according to the factory AFR gauge. Pretty sure the PCM on these cars can adjust WOT fueling.

When I was looking into what could be causing the P2005 code I read that the PCM doesn't just check the function of the IMRCs signal at face value, it does some backend calculations off other sensors like TPS, coolant temp, O2, and RPM to make sure everything is in spec.

What I'm afraid of is that the airflow from the 18 manifold is enough to throw off the backend calculation enough to throw a code.

Yeah I think data logging both and comparing is a smart move.

It's still confusing why it only throws it for one side.
