Wow lol that look like something out of GT on the ps4 :) Had a little bumper car action at the end there.

Wow... The GT350R is closer to the Ford GT (1:58.14 vs. 1:50.02) than the Mustang GT is to the GT350R (2:08.19 to 1:58.14)!

Was this ever in doubt especially against a what looks like non PP GT?
You tell me. So many have made the argument of the GT is almost GT350 and that the performance gap was small. Let's just say that if the GT in use is not a PP, I highly doubt that it would close 10+ second gap ; )

Indeed, though you have to look at % time delta for the clearest picture. GT350R is 7.4% slower than the Ford GT, and the Mustang GT is 8.5% slower than the GT350R. That's pretty close actually, but also amazing that the 350R ended up so evenly between.

The gap would've been about halved if it had been a GT PP1.

I'm definitely not in that camp lol....but you'd be surprised how much wider/grippier tires, magneride suspension, bigger brakes and more aggressive gearing will do to laptimes.

But I still don't think even with all that that it will come anywhere near the GT350 especially the R model. The new PP2 will be close (with even wider and stickier tires) but still not quite there especially with the slower MT82.

The Shelby would look like total shit if it just took a 6500 package to negate a 20K price difference.

You're also implying the GT350 and R run identical times.

I guess if a $6,500 package made the 2018 Mustang GT better than the r would only prove to me progression within the brand. Unfortunately by looking at the results of the current head-to-head between the ss1le and Mustang GT with the performance pack, well let's just say It will still be slower by a significant margin.
