The only reason I noticed this is because I was working on getting rid of rattles and stuff (my car is quieter than brand new now).
Symptom: you open driver door and do not get in the car or try to start it. An extremely faint static noise comes from any speaker (I have to be really close to a speaker to hear it). After a while whatever causes this shuts down and static noise goes away.
Is this behavior the norm?

Thanks!

Could someone maybe please check their 17+, electronics package (or convenience) so I know this is normal (or not)? Just open the door of the car and get close to the upper speaker in the door.

Thanks!

Yeah, exactly. Thanks!

If you put your ear on the door by the speaker it sounds like they are on. It is quite faint but audible in a quiet place. To me it is a bit unusual - the only car I had that does this. I was a bit worried this is my car and I have to deal with the dealer...

I always hear the same thing when I'm drying the door sills and my ear is near the speaker. Pretty sure its normal.
