The one thing I wish I had on my 2017.... the 10 speed auto.

1. It makes it faster.
2. My wife could drive it. (she can't drive stick / my 2017 GT PP )

If I was getting a 2018 (Premium), it would have PP1 or PP2, magneride shocks, & 10-speed auto.
This, although I'm not sure the premium matters much beyond the bigger screen. The magnaride and the 10-spd auto are (hopefully) gonna be killer options--more so than the slight power bump.

With no California Special model being offered in 2018 I'm glad we bought our 2017 now.

So what is this some kind of feel good thread with a loaded poll to make yourselves feel good about your choices?
Feel good? No. Heavier wallet? By far, yes.

They want too much money for not a huge amount of change and are overcharging on options.

i was going to purchase the 2018 mainly for the technology and ofcourse engine power, but seeing the price for the packages i wanted, it was too much. i bought a 2017 1 week ago and don't regret it at all.. very happy i did. i got all the top options, PP, shaker system, voice nav, voice everything, cruise control, reverse sensing, probably more that i haven't discovered yet. and to top it all off, the price was ridiculously cheap.

What is "European" about the Mustang, in your eyes?
10 speeds, adaptive suspension, adjustable exhaust noise, digital display etc. A Mustang to me is simple, fun and great performance

Speak for yourself. Many welcome some refinement and a slight step away from the sledgehammer/solid axle days.
Ill speak for myself and lot of others. Ford thought the ecoboost would be most popular in the UK but it's the V8 with stick shift by far, simplicity and stereotypical Mustang.
Sure some welcome the extra refinement but if want refinement Ill buy a German car that does it better. Ford needs to play to its niche not emulate Audi etc or it will lose.
And being a Millennial, Ford needs to keep me interested! Don't get me wrong though Id still take an 18 over most other cars, except a Porsche GT3 and BMW M2. Although Id take a '15 over an M2. But i'd take a Gt350 over anything, motoring perfection in my eyes.

2018 Orders

Loaded poll data much? Not one says, love the 2018 and plan on ordering? All but one assumes you dislike the 2018 and the single 2018 friendly option suggests you already purchased a 2017 or prior...
The poll is really meant to gauge interest or no interest in a 2018 model versus a
2017.

"Wished I would have waited to purchased a 2018 Mustang" would be people who regretted purchasing a 2017.
And wanted to buy a 2018 but had to wait too long for the final HP / TQ specs and pricing from Ford.

People who ordered a 2018 can comment on their purchase here.

Also to gauge interest in the S650 model as well. Some people may not be impressed with the S550 platform 2015-2017 or Refresh.

There has been so much discussion and anticipation regarding the HP / TQ Numbers of the 2018 now that we know it just makes
sense to poll people on this.

NOTE: This is NOT a poll to bash people who want to order or have ordered a 2018 Model Mustang.

Glad I bought my 17 PP for 30K OTD, doubt I would get price on a 2018. Yes the 18 is nicer, sleeker and more hp but the 2020 will probably be nicer, sleeker more hp etc my point is that they'll always get better and faster just like a laptop computer, so buy it now and enjoy it.

it has an engine!
Where is the fuck the whole 2018 car all together option? Not a single change i like. I had zero interest in it regardless what was done.

And many of us still still love the sledgehammer/solid axle days! That's why I'm keeping my '14 GT forever. I've had IRS cars in the past and my Scat Pack is an IRS car, but I don't believe there's enough of a real world difference in ride to make such a big deal about IRS. Solid axles are durable and launch better - very important to those of us who drag race.

True, but a small minority. If you drag race you still want sledgehammers and solid axels.
But if you are like most and drive streets and occasional track day, (road course) IRS is the way to go.

And many more don't,have you checked the prices out for a 2011-14 Mustang GT,if you can even find one that has not been molested. Good luck with that.

Oh.....dude.....you have no idea.

I owned a 2012GT BPP car, and traded it in on a 2016GT PP car.

Night. And. Day.

Massively, incredibly different.

The 2016 car feels boring in comparison. The 2012 car used to buck, heave, point it's nose to the sky under acceleration and to the ground under braking......all sorts of terrible handling attributes.

The ride is 100% improved, with no side-step when hitting a mid-corner bump. The 2016 car is just flat and composed.......if needing a bit more shock damping.

LOL This poll is awesome. If you wanted to vote something positive about the 18. You've come to the wrong place.
