What I learned this morning.

1. The 3.5s are doing the bulk of the musical work in the door.
2. As stated above, using the stock amps, just bass is going to 6.5.
3. The RF 6.5s don't help at all in the bass dept., but do play cleaner.
4. RFs not really worth the work. Not sure what will play low and fit the that shallow space.
5. Playing music with the 6.5s disconnected doesn't make alot of difference when radio is cranked up. You can crank the bass and the sub shines, sorta.
6. I would love to find some great 3.5s, and center speaker.
7. I need to find a 'how to' for replacing the center speaker.
How to replace centre speaker http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71625&highlight=center+speaker

I guess you should use Polk or Infinity for the 3.5s in the doors. For the centre speaker, it is best to pick up a driver from Parts Express since it is 8ohms. That's what I did. Not sure what impedance your centre and door speakers have.

If you look at the "subwoofer upgrade" thread, I did a write-up on center speaker replacement, but I think all the pic links are dead now.
I used a Polk db351.
Actually simple:
Remove fascia trim, from passengers door to center vents, they pull right off.
Top speaker cover pops off by pulling up and back.
Speaker is right there, I mounted mine under the panel for tweeter clearance.

I apologise, bud! Took the liberty of posting the link of your posts from the speaker thread without asking you :)

Nik,
No problem, since the pic links are all broken. If anyone wants specific shots, let me know.

Take a look at the impedance of the speakers.
The different systems have the same size speakers, but the specs are not the same.
The center speaker I pulled out of my shaker pro with sub was 2 ohms.
Others have reported 8 ohms.
