Hey,

Now I know I don't currently have my car, however, i've been noticing more and more recently that to close my hood I have to drop it from a higher and higher distance, which is causing the paint on the radiator cover to chip off (I have to repaint it anyway...)

I know this is a common thing with Mustang hoods but wanted to know if anyone else was having this problem?

I used to be able to drop it from about 6 inches, however now I have to drop it from about 2foot up before it even catches.

Any fixes?

Adjust the catch. Not rocket science is it?

Sounds like yours has just gradually dropped. Probably from having a hood dropped on it from two foot up! :D
had to drop it from two foot up because it wouldn't fking close from a few inches :lol::lol:

Strange...if i had an Eco I'd be keeping the hood closed... ;)
Seriously though, no problems for me yet. My catch was very well adjusted from new and i don't really lift the hood any more than necessary. An occasional check of the expansion tank, but other than that there's not much to see under there. Apart from a big f*ck-off V8... :p

PS. Just kidding, waiting on someone declaring...

The latch after a while doesn't return to the close position when you release it. I just oiled the latch, now its back to normal!

Don't, um, open it? Why are you in there all the time? Is it always broken? ;)

With the massive amount of empty space he has under the bonnet, he sticks his golf clubs in there.

Thanks for this one, lately my car honks twice when I close the hood and when I start I get hood open warning chime on the dash menu.

the 'correct' term for the body work that covers the engine bay on an American car. Much like fenders cover the wheels.

For example. My car had 'hood' vents and GT350 type 'fenders'

Thought you would know that!!!

Without wanting too sound crude try removing your c*ck before slamming the hood shut

Maybe some girly mags needed to get you off the car porn ;)

Sorry to be pedantic, but I live in England..:D

a covering for the head and neck with an opening for the face, typically forming part of a coat or cloak.
"a jacket with a detachable hood"
synonyms: head covering, cowl, snood, scarf, head scarf
a large hood-shaped piece of fabric, typically trimmed with fur or a similar material, worn over the shoulders of a university gown or a surplice to indicate the wearer's degree.
FALCONRY
a leather covering for a hawk's head.

My car has a bonnet, and I press the accelerator to make the car move.

The wheels are under the wings, and the boot is full of stuff...:D:thumbsup:
