I can't believe after all this the dealer won't release the car till the loom mod is done. Andy Barratt, can you help.

Gotta say, it must be hella annoying to know your car is so close, equally, you'd absolutely hate yourself for ignoring advice and the car being written of because of such ignorance, it's a small price to pay - you've waited a year, you can wait a few more days.

Equally, what I've told others to do - Moan at the dealers, tell them you haven't got a car because you expect your one, make them give you their ford gt, drive that whilst yours gets 'fixed'/waits for part.

Already booked in regarding the engine rattle and gearbox problems, but I'll be having some strong words with them about this one...

The recall can't be that serious, anyone received a phone call from ford dealer about it?
We had to do the chasing.
And when I did phone up, it getting done in two weeks.

Mine didn't have that on the etis page yet my dealer wasn't going to release the car to me.

It's not showing on my ETIS either and my car was built at the end of October and having had a look, the loom does look a bit close for comfort to the manifold but shows no signs of having any protective sleeving/shield or anything.

I'll pop into the dealer next saturday but I expect it'll be the first they've heard of such an issue. :doh:
