So my R is now showing as "In Transit" and 8 day ETA. Unfortunately I'm traveling for next two weeks so dealership will sit on and prep for delivery.

I picked up some 6GR wheels and will use these fornstreet duty with MP4 tires and was thinking 305 square or 305/325.

What are your thoughts on those sizes for street duty folks? Will the 325 fit fine or is ere a concern for too wide and rubbing on the 11.5" wheel?

I can't remember the last time I've been this excited about any vehicle, and this is a great community of knowledge enthusiasts!

I don't own a GT350, but I have personally seen many with the 305 fronts and 325 rears. Some were even lowered with that sizing. There is plenty of room with that setup running the R spec wheels.

I run Pilot Sports for my DDs on my 2017 R on BC Forged Wheels. 305/325

Tracked them actually as well last weekend.

This weekend though I'll be switching them to the stock wheels on the track running 305/325 in the Cup2s.

My PS4s are working perfectly in a 305 squared setup.

Remember the 305 PS4 is as wide if not slightly wider than the 315 Cup 2. It also weighs right about the same as the 315 Cup 2. If you're looking for a more stock staggered sizing with roughly OEM weight and stretch in the PS4S, do a 295/30F and 305/30R.

Very helpful guys! I think I'll go with square 305/30/19 then.

It's not the width that concerns me as much as the sidewall and overall tire height. Since changing down to 315/30R19 Hankooks on a 19x11" square setup, my R scrapes more. I can imagine that 305s would make that even worse. There's no way I'd go lower... just my $0.03.

Sidewall height is a percentage of tread width. Since these are wider, they're also taller. I gained roughly a 1/4" of ride height because of the 305 PS4S in 30 wall.

Hmmm... you put 305's on stock R wheels, and gained height in the sidewall?... sure not.

I'm unclear of what you're unsure of.

I put 305/30/19 PS4S onto 19/11 Forgelines.

Those 305/30/19 PS4S are taller tires than the 305/30/19 and 315/30/19 Cup 2s.

My ride height raised by roughly a 1/4" with that change. The PS4S in 305/30/19 is a wider and taller tire than the 315/30/19 Cup 2, and certainly wider than the 305/30/19 Cup 2.

It's easy to see where the ride height raised in the front from the different tire since the tire in the front OEM, is the 305/30/19 Cup 2 on a 19/11 wheel.

Ahhhh... you left out the crucial details. You're not running the stock wheels... makes sense now. Thanks for the clarity.

The Forgelines in front are the same size as the carbons.

There's no crucial detail there. Are you implying that the 19/11 OEM Carbon wheel is a smaller 19" diameter than the Forgeline 19/11 19" diameter?

The stock R wheels are not square... you said your setup was "square" on 305's without declaring the wheel setup.

Since you enlightened us that you are running a square 19x11 setup it makes sense now.

Carry on...

If you're running 305/325 in Cup 2's they probably aren't the "R spec" tires but the normal Cup 2 variant which aren't As sticky from what I've gathered. Seems as though the Corvettes version are the most aggressive/sticky with the R's being somewhere in between the Vettes and the regular variant.

I'd think you might be better off just running the 305/315 R spec tires to get the better compound rather than the extra 10 mm width perhaps.
