Anybody had an upper strut bearing fail yet? I installed Steeda Pro Action adjustables, Steeda camber plates, BMR end links, with linear Steeda sport springs. I had the springs on the PP shocks for approx 20k miles before going to Pro Actions and camber plates. I reused the bearings and didnt notice any problems when I installed them on the new shocks. Everything sounded fine then I did a track day / autocross at Memphis raceway a couple weeks ago. While driving home I noticed a popping noise while turning and going over small bumps at low speed coming from the RF. I have checked the torque on everything and had my dad go over it to make sure I didnt miss something. I can't figure it out. I went ahead and ordered upper bearings as they are only $20 a piece.

Not the camber plate spherical bearing. The rubber isolator that goes between the spring and the camber plate. It has a bearing in it to allow rotation of the spring while turning the wheels.

Let us know. I might have the same noise. Can you post a video?

Seems as though ball joint failure isn't uncommon on these cars, even at low
mileage. Were they checked?

I missed that. Do you know if that is primarily on lowered or all and about how many miles people start seeing it?

I have checked them and nothing seems broken. My sound seems to be coming from the shock tower.

I got a similar sound on small bumps right after adding steeda camber plates. I bought new steeda sways and vertical links that I need to install in the front, didn't have time after installing the rears. I noticed after the plates went in that the vertical link on the right had noticible play and looks to be the issue. I'm hoping that when I install the front sway bar and upgraded links that sounds goes away. I'll let you know if it makes a difference.

Steeda's camber plate 3 bolt plate seemed too small in surface area and didn't look like it had strength to provide adequate clamping force. replace the camber plate with stock shock mount and see if the noise goes away.

It is like clicking/ small poping noise over small bumps right?

Mine sounds like a clanking sound and the Vertical link on that side definately has more play than the driver side link. I hope replacing it is the answer. Now I need to make time to install it.
