That's an aluminum reverse lockout, and the knob isn't stock either. Chances are its been changed out, but you won't know without looking at it or comparing to another vehicle. The stock knob will thread onto my T56 shifter so that doesn't tell you anything.
BAMA blows nuts, brand new car doesn't magically have issues after a tune that aren't tune related.
OP, contact Lund and get a real tune for the car. Dakota has been tuning my Turbo GT, and the thing drives as good as it did stock.
I have the Hellion kit on my car. Did the install myself. Instructions are extremely detailed, and everything is packaged nicely. Customer support from them was excellent also, picked up immediately and always spoke to a very nice and very helpful individual without going through any machines...
I used a ball joint press to install mine, you shouldn't need a heavy duty press to put them in. It's not a super difficult job, hardest part is getting the springs back in, especially if they're factory.

Changed mine at 0%, which was at 3000mi. Seen some go 5k plus before the light came on, but I beat the shit out of it. Guess it shortens the intervals.
Mine makes the same noise. Changed oil at 3k miles (light came on) with motorcraft 5-20. Sounds like an exhaust leak to me, I'm not worried about it. It goes away.

The bolts weren't seized, I'd put money on you turning it the wrong way. Look in that bolt hole, not an ounce of rust, and the bolts are all tightened by a machine, so over torque is unlikely. Get an extractor set with left hand drill bits. Either the bit will pull it out, or you'll make a hole...
The 5.0 just doesn't sound good with a really deep exhaust note, they sound...off. That kind of note doesn't really fit the car's looks anyway. Corsa is the absolute best I've heard for the S550, and it's why I ponied up the cash.
