The strut top mount has a small, semicircular "notch" in one of the 3 sides (triangular part with studs in it). I cannot find any mention of this, and none of the install instructions I have seen make any note of it either. I did not notice this until I got was putting the second front strut back on after swapping springs, so I don't know how the top cap was originally "clocked". I have several hundred miles on the car after swapping springs and nothing feels off but I'm wondering how the upper mount is supposed to mount? One would think that notch is there for a reason?
