That might explain why I didn't like the sound clip from their site...

I have the CJPP H-pipe with the factory mufflers, and mine has none of that sound. Man - that was bad! I'm wondering if there are different versions of it. If I ever take it off I'll take a look, but I'm not hearing any reason to bother with it right now...

On behalf on CJ's, I apologize for only finding this thread now. I truly wish that someone would have either tagged me in this thread, PM'd me about this or originally posted this in our section so that we could have addressed this sooner.

The negative reviews on the website also did not throw any red flags for us because they were not directly connected to a recorded customer service issues, which up to this point my customer care team has not mentioned anything to me regarding this particular part.

With all of that being said, we have immediately stopped the sale of this item and have started the necessary steps with the vendor to resolve this issue. This is not what we expected see on the inside of our H-Pipe and we thank the community for making us aware of this situation.

We are more than willing to work with any customer and issue a refund for any of these that are an issue.

Feel free to contact us anytime, Toll Free: 1-800-888-6473 or Local: 717-657-9252 and someone will gladly get you sorted out.

Once again we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. This is not something we want to be known for within the community.

Now that is how a vendor should handle things. Great job!

Someone should emails Burns and ask them what they think. The crossover holes can be various sizes and tuned to different effects. To think its a fail because the holes are small .. im not so sure.

Thanks for stepping up CJ's. Unfortunately for me at least, I don't think its cost effective to get a refund as its already on my car and the stock resonator has already been cut out. Either way, I'm having to spend money to get the original resonator welded back in (until I can find a replacement h-pipe to install) or I can just spend roughly the same amount of money to just get the faulty h-pipe fixed. A lose / lose situation...

Hopefully someone that has ordered this recently but has not yet installed it sees this first and is able to setup a refund / replacement.

None of my business, but why? You don't want free money? They probably wouldn't make you send it back, but idk.

Let me clarify: On this particular part, due to the nature of the issue and the situation at hand - we do not need these returned in order to issue a refund.

Sorry, didn't catch that earlier. Then once again, thanks for stepping up CJPP! I'll be reaching out to customer service to discuss options.

You guys are going above and beyond. Thank you.

Just to be clear, the expectation is that the holes to the H section should be pretty close to the size of the pipe, right?

That was my expectation, yes.

On a side note, I can't tell which one I like more. That yellow Mach 1 or the ruby California Special. :coolphotos:

Quick update, I contacted Cjpp and spoke to Tony. They gave me a full refund. Awesome CJPONY parts. Thank you so much for your help and standing behind your company and products.

I have this part and do notice weird idle sounds and it also leaks condensation pretty bad at one end. I considered this a cheap temp part for some volume until I got the spare money and wife approval to buy a better exhaust. Wonder if it also has those poorly milled holes.
