Is anyone running this yet? Curious about yourimpressions...

The support and engineering quality of the Whipple is very appealing, but the Edelbrock's factory appearance, warranty and the ability to keep the STB is making me think...

I believe you have to remove STB but can keep the K brace, just like the Whipple.

let me go ahead and reiterate what everyone below me has just said. yeah i know im predicting the future, but i know what these yahoos are gonna say already.

the edelbrock is a nice piece asthestically, but it wont compare to a Roush/Eaton/Ford Racing/VMP or other TVS based supercharger systems at power levels above 600whp.

if HP/$ is your thing, we would ALL suggest you look elsewhere for your supercharger. If you like the edelbrock, get the edelbrock. but if you are mostly seeking power per dollar, there are better buys.

now, back to "why youre wrong and you suck" starring the peanut gallery.

Excuse me, on the HP issue, wait for EB's TVS 2650 unit. Same box size as the 2300 unit but 25% more air flow. One of the reasons EB does not go above 690HP on their Stage 1 unit is due to durability issues of the engine, drive train and differential in keeping with their included 3/36 warranty. If you have a "built" engine (forged Pistons & rods like in their Aluminator S/C motor, then go with the TVS 2650 and turn up the boost. I'd rather not destroy my stock motor and drivetrain solely for HP purposes. But that's me and more power to others to do whatever they want. BTW, the 2650 unit is already producing 840HP+ on the Dodge Hemi motors.

I agree. But this forum has a nasty habit of not limiting off topic posts. That yield threads that are, in some cases, 100's of pages long. Something like that takes literally hours to read to find one little tidbit of good information. A case in point is the 50-70 MPH vibration thread...

My question above, despite having read ALL of the threads is the same... Who has it and what do they think? Granted people in the know aren't hot on the Edelbrock, but I wanted input from a guinea pig who actually has the Edelbrock and has gone through any trials and tribulations with installation, tune, etc.

No thanks! I don't wanna be stuck with something crummy.

Sounds to me like Edelbrock is going to have a stillborn product...

Go buy it and be that guy who has the answers :) You're not finding the answers you hoped for, because, as you said... "Granted people in the know aren't hot on the Edelbrock". But if your interest is real, and you are considering buying it, i'd say that reading through tons of useless thread responses is worth while. Before I bought my Whipple I read hundreds of posts and a bunch of useless knowledge. Because it held my interest. Hope you find what you are looking for brother. If not, buy it, and be that guy. Until then, you are beating the shit out of this dead horse :repost: lol

It's a product that has a very low ceiling compared to other superchargers. The warranty it comes with is nice, aside from that it is an inferior product in comparison.

My buddy has it on his '14. It's been reliable and his car is much faster than stock. He doesn't race, hasn't hit the dyno, and doesn't post in forums.

He is happy and unconcerned if a TVS blower would have made more power or had a higher ceiling.

The fact that you are on this forum, means your probably not like my buddy and may be a little upset if your car doesn't make the power that some of the other FI car's are making.

I know I would be!

What I really want is a substantial increase in low end power, exceptional driveability, and daily driver reliability.

I'm trying to get smart on superchargers. If I understand, Edelbrock does not use a TVS. TVS are made by Eaton and Whipple is not a TVS. Did I get that right?

Edelbrock is TVS. Whipple is Twin screw. Both are PD, positive displacement.
