Dealer drilled the front bumper

I've been shopping for a good deal on a GT350 for a little while and have found a few. One of them the dealer has drilled the front bumper for a plate. Would you guys consider this a deal breaker?

Normally I wouldn't look twice and just keep shopping around but after what happened to me yesterday with missing a Ruby Red for MSRP with a great deal on my trade, I'm getting a little nervous about waiting.

I wouldn't get it personally...I passed on a free bumper for my GT because of bumper plugs.

If you really want the car, buy it. You can always take it to a body shop to fill those holes. It doesn't hurt to ask the dealership to discount the cost to repaint the bumper.

That really depends on you.

I believe most on this forum hate having drilled holes and running with front license plates. From what you've said, it seems like it will bother you too.

For me, I don't give a dang about such things and would rather my car be street legal than worry about such nonsense. I proudly wear my front plate like a badge of honor. And because it blends with the white stripes, I really think the look isn't bad at all.

I don't think it will bother me too bad, especially since it's required in Utah but I just would have liked the option. Just seems a little dirty lol.

The fact that there are indents for holes on the front bumper bothers me. I wouldnt let it be a deal breaker though. once you buy the car and start driving it plenty of other little things will bother you more and youll forget all about it.

Holes in the front bumper should reduce the resale value of any car by $10,000 imo. There are too many other alternatives to drilling right into the meat of the front cover. I know that I have personally passed on new and used vehicles for the fact that there are holes drill into the bumper being the only negative.

I lived in a state that required front plates and I just paid the ticket. Now, luckily do not have to run a front plate.

I did buy a new SUV for the wife, and the dealer had to get it from a store out of state. You guessed it...bumper drilled. I was crushed but didn't say anything to the GM since he was a friend if mine. Bought some bumper plugs that were color matched and look great. (Just a little pricy @ $28 a pair, I needed 2 pair)

How do you mount your front license plate then? My state requires a front license plate, is there a way to avoid drilling into the front?

I live in a no front plate state, luckily. For you that it's required, you just pay the ticket once? Or is it as caught? Indiana has a 30 day, I believe, expiration on tickets. Such if you get pulled over for a broken tail light you have 30 days to get it fixed or face another ticket if stopped again.

if your state requires it then I would'nt let it stop you but since mine does not i'd pass for that reason alone
