Use the two bucket method to wash it, and soft wash mits. Also leaf blowers work great for drying. Follow with a coat of wax. I generally use Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax. On the plastic exterior parts I use 303 Aerospace Protectant. It have UV protection built in and keeps it from fading.

For the interior Cockpit Premium is the best stuff I've found. It cleans and leaves behind no residue. You can use it on just about everything, including the display screens.

My first mod was the exhaust, the stock exhaust is terrible. I also added a Steeda CAI, it looks really good in the engine bay and may add a few HP and some sound.

I'm trying to keep my warranty so the mods I recommend would be a BMR CB005 to help with wheel hop, and Koni sports with GT350R springs to improve handling and drop the car slightly to get rid of wheel gap. I also purchased a GT350 steering wheel which really improves the look of the interior. And just the other day I added a Ford Performance Oil Catch Can.

Listed to your father ... father knows best regarding the Steeda CAI :)

If you need assistance with forum pricing or putting a package together - happy to help!

Best Regards,

Red line? I figured that'd screw it up right out of the gate.

As for the clutch, what does it mean to take it easy? I'm not good enough to kick it down to the floor and let it up real fast....still finding the catch point. I'm guessing the $20 Steeda spring will make that easier.

Remove the stock spring first and see if you even need a spring at all. I learned how to drive manual on this car (off the dealership lot) and wish I had removed the spring before the drive home. I would of stalled it about 40 fewer times.

Regardless of what you intend to do with you new Stang, you absolutely can't go wrong with a BMR Cradle Lockout Kit. Differential bushings are a great addition too. Congrats and enjoy your new ride!

I've actually seen it mentioned elsewhere that it's a bad idea to do this. Something about it wearing the clutch/wheel faster due to the elimination of the force the spring provides.

This is why I want the lighter Steeda spring.

Thanks

There have been posts both for and against that theory here on the forums. It seems like the spring is there for comfort, to make the clutch much lighter for the foot. The wear on the actual clutch is negligible in the grand scheme of things.

Well, I had no spring in for ~30k miles and no adverse effects to the clutch. Pop that thing out and enjoy driving it while you wait for the Steeda spring to arrive. You can put that one in by hand no problem. I like the Steeda spring better than no spring as it lightens the effort a little but loses no feel in the process (to me), and keeps the pedal all the way up.

A minute ago I ordered a set of the Steeda Jacking rails (factory direct using the forum's discount code). Right now I'm focusing on things to protect the car like touch-up paint, cameras, seat back protector, etc. Once those are taken care of I'll move on to the "nice to have's" like the spring, hood struts, etc. Then I might...might....go for a CAI, throttle body, etc.

I don't want to do too much to the car because I really do love it!! Plus, if I end up supercharging it in 5 years or so, I would rather buy stuff then so that it works with the new blower/system.

Thanks

I appreciate the suggestion but I'm married.

...Then again, so long as my wife doesn't mind her joining...

Thanks

Throw up some pics of the new beast once you got her all polished up and ready for the photo shoot.

I don't know if you're from that area of Pa, but yeah, American Muscle is very close to the turnpike off of exit 320. No showroom, though. At least there wasn't one last time I heard.

You laugh but that's where my mind naturally goes.... :D

To add to it...

I'm one of only a few male sex therapists in my region. Thanks to working a handful of hours a week at one of my offices about 1/3 of what I make there is outright paying for my car each month!

...so I guess it pays to think as I do.
