I wonder how many here with the autos don't know how to drive a manual.

Probably be surprised.

No you'd be the one who would be suprised that the majority of automatic owners can drive a manual just fine. It's not as hard as the manual owners try to make it sound!

I think only 2 out of 7 at my table eating this weekend could drive a manual.

That's about as scientific as it gets.....

Yup..I can drive a manual just fine..from Aveo's all the way up to my buddies retired Bondurant Racing School Cobra..

I just prefer automatics for a number of reasons.

Not being disrespectful, just saying most people learn on autos as that is what is only available. (In the states)
Many parents can't drive or own manuals so no surprise that that skill rarely gets past down.

Does any auto school even offer manual driving lessons in the US?

A lot of high schools and colleges still have manuals available to learn on. When I took my classes back in 2000 my instructor asked me what car I would eventually be driving as that would determine if I would be learning on an auto or manual.

Truthfully i wasn't all that great on the new looks and then i noticed some deals locally that i just couldn't pass up.

Not to mention my old 2011 was starting to show problems that i don't think i could have lived with for the next 6 months and i just couldn't wait anymore.

Plus I am waiting to see how all of these changes pan out, I might have to wait for the s650 or trade up if the 2018 really is the bees knees, with the deal i got on this 2017 it won't lose out too much.
