I am seriously considering going with a tune for my phase 1 a6 2016 mustang from lidio iacobelli. Lidio said he does not recommend going over 11psi on 93 octane. What type of boost are all of you running on 93.

Both @beefcake and Greg at Lund told me 11psi is what they feel comfortable with from a safe boost standpoint. I'm right at 11psi at 17 degrees of timing and put down 680whp in 85 degree heat. I don't feel the need to push it any further with boost. Lund is making a 100 octane tune for me now that will easily push me over 700whp.

Log below, RPM - Blue, Knock - Yellow, Timing - Orange

Can't answer that question, but I do recommend trusting Lidio. You probably already know, but he is very familar with Mustangs and Roush setups. He leans toward the more conservative side. He tuned my FBO Mustang before.

There isn't a set boost point, it will depend on what blower you're running, how GOOD your 93 pump gas is, and your climate.

"safe" boost level is more "safe power level" or to be more precise "safe cylinder pressure" for given octane. A bigger blower will reach the same cylinder pressure at a lower boost number all else equal as it moves more air at the same psi as a smaller blower.

That said I have been doing my homework on these cars and it does seem like with less timing and more boost, there are quite a few people pushing past 12-13psi on pump gas. I know one guy that was running a 20% OD lower damper and a 3.5" upper on PUMP gas. Believe the car turned some low 10 high 9 passes setup that way.

Seems like from my forum trolling the limit is between 650-700whp on 93. If you free up the exhaust side (headers, cat back, remove cats) you can go from 650ish to 700 without really changing the tune or upping the boost, in fact your boost will drop due to higher flow.

And I love that graph...did you plot it out or what?
Logged with SCT and then just plotted the CSV file in Excel.

I wish more people would plot this up. You'll see 650/680/700/715 whp on similar boost levels (obviously dyno dependent). What is more telling is how much timing you're running. In my case seeing 680whp on only 17 degrees, I think the car is pretty conservatively beastly. Some people are running 18,19,20 degrees. I'm hoping for 19-20 degrees on 93/Octanium mix. I feel like this will put me at a place that will make E85 unnecessary for the limited amount of track time I'll actually see.

Your wish is my command....:D
This is maxed out to 11.3 psi of boost on my new E85 tune.
Hoping to make that 700 number as well...will find out in April.
