Good to hear! How much of a volume increase is it coming from the MBRP Street?
Xtreme will be much louder. Corsa sport will be similar volume but a better, crisper tone.

Go with Corsa

Hey everyone,

I've been running the MBRP Street for about 25k miles now, and it was a good "starter" exhaust but now I'm ready for something better. I'm looking for both more volume, and a better tone.

Listening to the Corsa Sport, Extreme, and Borla S Type videos, they all have a much better tone, and I think tone-wise I would be happy with any of them. The extremes are especially sweet.

Volume is what concerns me. I definitely want something louder than what I have now, but I also don't want to wake my neighbors (I park in a parking garage attached to an apartment complex, and my mbrp is barely audible in the building when I cold start).

For anyone who's heard these systems in person, how do the volumes compare? Is the Corsa Sport or Borla S Type an increase over the MBRP street, or would I have to go for the Extreme to get the volume boost I want?

Thanks in advance!

If there's anyone in the Austin, TX area with one of these I'd love to come listen to your car in person.

I had the MBRP Street and after about 9 months I had to switch to something more aggressive and meaner.

I was between Corsa Sport and Extremes. Decided since I won't be touching the headers (at least for a while) I would go with the extremes. I have LOVED every minute of driving this car now. Totally different sound, no drone, completely do-able as a DD.

Exactly the perspective I was looking for!

It's probably hard to quantify, but how would you compare the tones of the systems in person?

Switched from MBRP Street to Corsa Sport CB and absolutely love it. Roughly the same volume but much crisper with a perfect tone IMO

Go Corsa...had a MBRP Race, switched to a Solo-Performance Mach Thunder now I am again debating whether I should pay for the Corsa Xtreme. Should've just bought the Corsa in the first place

So the MBRP had a little bit deeper tone, but it was more "flat" for lack of a better term. It was a little smoother and like a deep howl.

The Corsa Extreme is more "exotic" like most people say. It just has a mean, I am going to rip your face off kind of sound when you get on it. Now that I have had it for about 2500 miles it tends to pop and gurgle just the perfect amount.
I was actually playing with a Camaro the other day and at the next light he even pulled up and was completely shocked. He couldn't believe how tame it was sitting at the light, then got so mean while we were playing...

Quick update:

Just got the extremes on. WOW totally 110% worth the money.

Tone: missing the deep, traditional muscle tone of the MBRP. More than makes up for it with a killer, refined tone that makes way better pops and gurgles, and doesn't come with all of the rasp of the MBRP.

Volume: TBH, at first I was ever-so-slightly disappointed that these aren't louder. Maybe I'm crazy  . Once warmed up, at low rpms (<2.5k) they are definitely a little quieter than the MBRP. I was actually confused when I blipped the throttle at my first couple downshifts, because it was so much quieter than low rpm blips in the MBRP that I thought something was wrong. Definitely quieter on the highway, cruising in 6th. BUT, downshift to 4th, hit the gas, and they wail. Significantly louder than the MBRP in the higher rpms no question, and way way better tone.

I couldn't be happier. More volume, a better tone, AND a more livable, controllable system. Thanks to Corsa for a great product, and this forum for pointing me in the right direction.

Wait till you have someone drive it so you can hear it from the outside. Corsa's stuff sounds MUCH quieter inside than it is outside. Glad you're loving it!!:headbang:
